Vaishali K Shah, Founder and Director, LTA School of Beauty, one of India’s leading international beauty academy, talks about their courses, its USP, recent achievements and the scope of placements.
Established in 2005 and head quartered in Mumbai, the LTA School of Beauty is a premier beauty training academy that offers beauty courses in Mumbai, Pune, Nashik, Ahmedabad, Kakinada and New Delhi. Its mission is to bridge the gap between India’s evolving beauty industry and the lack of skilled professionals with quality training and expert guidance.
At the international level, the LTA School of Beauty has collaborated with renowned international education bodies. It is the only school in India to be accredited by the world’s highest qualifications – CIDESCO (Switzerland), CIBTAC (UK), City & Guilds (UK) and VTCT (UK).
What is the USP of the LTA School of Beauty?
The LTA School of Beauty is India’s largest CIDESCO school and only beauty academy to have all its centres accredited by the Vocational Training Charitable Trust (VTCT), an awarding organisation, approved by the UK government, which specialises in the hairdressing and beauty sector. Our academy specialises in high quality skills training and is the only beauty academy to award national and international certification as part of its diploma programme.
Not many know that LTA students are hired by leading brands such as Dermalogica, Jean Claude Biguine, Steiner, Lakmé, Enrich and VLCC. Our students have also been representing India at the World Skills Competition.
What are the recent achievements of the academy?
Our academy has been awarded ‘The most preferred international beauty academy’, on the basis of a nationwide survey conducted by a credible independent agency. In addition, we are the only academy to produce over 100 CIDESCO qualified graduates in one calendar year. Our students have been winning every single skill competition in beauty category conducted by National Skill Development Corporation (NSDC) since 2013 – from cluster to national level. It gives me immense pleasure to have been re-appointed as the beauty skill expert for the third time in a row by the NSDC.
Biju Nair, the co-founder of LTA, has been elected as a board member for CIDESCO. It is for the first time in the 70 years that a board member has been elected from India.
