New salons on the beauty block


Professional Beauty looks at the newly opened salons in and around New Delhi.

Monochrome themes, a tinge of gold and contemporary interiors — that’s the flavours we are looking at when we see the new bunch of luxury salons in New Delhi.  While the themes may vary, the philosophy of each is the same – top-class beauty treatments in a sophisticated ambience.


The luxury salon LOOKS Privé has opened its doors to public at The Claridges Hotel, New Delhi. With an emphasis on offering a holistic experience to the clients, the salon offers all kinds of hair and beauty services by eminent brands, such as Sebastian Professional, Dermalogica, Paul Mitchell and Moroccanoil, among others.

The interiors of the salon are centered around the monochrome theme with wooden work running across the theme. The salon is likewise setting the benchmark for sustainable practices like saying ‘no’ to plastic bottles and serving water in glasses instead, housing indoor plants, and installing energy efficient lights.

Privé is a luxury concept by North India’s reputed salon chain, LOOKS. Plans are in the offiing to open another outlet of Privé in Mumbai.


Another salon on the list is Chandigarh-based Headmasters, who recently announced the opening of their 18th branch at Sangrur Punjab.

Headmasters Sangrur is a unisex salon spread across 2,000 sq ft. The salon has a contemporary look, with textured walls and wooden finish laminate furniture. In terms of equipment and furniture, the salon has a cutting section with six chairs and a private barbering room with two chairs. It also has a make-up studio with four chairs and a changing room, a manicure & pedicure room with two stations. Its three beauty rooms are attached with steam rooms and an exclusive nail bar.

The salon chain is owned by Pammy and Veer Kaul. Pammy announced at the salon launch that Headmasters is introducing a new salon format, which requires a space of 1,000 to 12,00 sq ft, which will be targeted for use by young generation in the age group of 20 to 35 years. The new format is named as ‘Standout with Headmasters’.


Shreya & Aishwarya Gaba recently announced the launch of their bespoke bridal studio in Rajouri Garden, Delhi. Spread across 100 sq ft area, the makeover studio offers a wide range of hair, beauty and bridal services. While for the design, the studio features a classic colour combination of black and gold.
