Beauty industry stalwarts were felicitated by the Honourable Governor of Maharashtra Shri Bhagat Singh Koshyari at the Governor House on the occasion of World Digital Detox Day. Pioneers of the Indian salon industry, Nalini Naegamvala and Yasmin Eranee, were bestowed with Celebrity Icon Award 2022.
Nalini Naegamvala and Yasmin Eranee, formerly Nalini and Yasmin, received the Celebrity Icon Award 2022, amidst applause and cheer from noteworthy names from the beauty industry, as honourable Governor of Maharashtra Shri Bhagat Singh Koshyari handed over the prestigious award to them. The awards ceremony was a part of the celebration of World Digital Detox Day 2022.
The ‘WDDD Celebrity Icon Award 2022’ was given out in a total of three different subcategories:
1. Leaders – those who routinely engage in digital detox practices as part of their routines
2. Organisations – those in the wellness industry that have female employees as more than 40 per cent of their total workforce
3. Women – those who have worked in the industry for more than ten years to get positions where they can make decisions and help the industry grow
Both Nalini and Yasmin have been trailblazers in the fashion and beauty industries, and are truly deserving of this prestigious award. Not only are they torchbearers of the Indian salon industry, they are also responsible for paving way for a whole generation of beauty professionals. Today, the salon industry is looked upon as a lucrative profession thanks to them. Nalini and Yasmin also ushered in the era of formal education in beauty.
Nalini and Yasmin have been together for a long time, even though they now work in different places. It was a delight to have them share the stage once again as they accepted the award from the honourable Governor.
