A simple morning routine to boost your immunity

Your morning routine may just be the most important part of your day. Your energy through the day is dependent on how your morning pans out. Make your morning brighter by including these steps. This will ensure added hygiene which is the need of the hour.

First step
You may have heard this advice for the umpteenth time. However, you should wash your hands not only after touching any surfaces or after close contact with people, but as the first ritual you perform in the morning. This ensures that the five senses do not receive the dust and dirt of the hand’s travels. 

Gargle
After brushing your teeth, gargling will be a step that you must not miss out on. Gargling will help in cleansing your mouth and preventing the growth of bacteria and germs. Gargle using a medicated mouthwash or you can also use salt and warm water.

Hydrate!
Hydration is key. Drinking water in the morning and through the day will ensure you flush out all the toxins from your body. You can add a few pieces of cucumber, orange slices and tulsi leaves to your water and get detoxifying benefits as well.

Breakfast
We already know how important it is for all of us to eat breakfast. Adding a few immunity boosters to your breakfast will make for a wholesome meal. A few things that you could add to your breakfast could be –

  • A glass of lemon water with ginger
  • Turmeric milk/tea
  • Fruits loaded with Vitamin C
  • Tulsi.
  • Mint tea

Multivitamins
This added step can be a great immunity booster. You can add vitamins and external supplements to your daily routine for that added nutrition. One can opt for turmeric, tulsi, neem, amla, vitamin C and vitamin E supplements to stay fit!
