An initiative by the Beauty and Wellness Sector Skill Council, supported by the prime of India to educate and empower the youth of India in the areas of beauty, wellness, yoga, aromatherapy and Ayurveda to get them ready to stand on their feet, get jobs and become skilled entrepreneurs in these sectors. This initiative is aimed to support the economy of India and uplift the standard of living of Indian youth.

As the world has gone through a tough time and opening up slowly, the beauty world is opening its doors to learning and practice physically and through online mediums. While this initiative has a huge online learning platform, practice is given to the individuals physically while maintaining all hygiene standards and teaching the same to them. There are also certifications in hygiene that they can acquire by from this program.

For the younger generation and youth of India, as they come out of their homes, go back to schools and also put their efforts towards making a livelihood to support their families, Dr. Kochhar shares a few tips that would come in handy for them as they take small steps towards becoming entrepreneurs or professionals in the beauty and wellness industry.

She foremost emphasis that hygiene would remain the key factory in all areas of beauty and wellness. It is of prime importance that the individuals bring their learnings into practice with the way they are taught to wash hands and maintain cleanliness etc.

Another important skill that they must consciously work upon are their soft skills, as good communication and interaction with their clientele shall lead to better results for their business. Along with the spoken skill, they must also dress well and bring out their personality.

Confidence, a key factor towards achieving their goals. She urges them to keep learning skills and practice them to gain confidence in their craft, which would show in their work and business.
