The Instagram and YouTube sensation, Patrick Starrr is all set to reveal his new beauty line, One/Size
Patrick Starrr is a self-taught makeup artist, a key player in paving the way for men in beauty. He has amassed nearly 5 million Instagram followers and over 4 million YouTube subscribers. His success and hardwork has given him many successful opportunities in the past. He has launched five collections with MAC, since 2017 and also launched his management agency, The Beauty Coop, in 2019.
The beginning of One/Size
Patrick Starrr voiced his frustration of being unable to shop for plus size clothes in a tweet in 2016 and tweeted, “Sucks shopping plus size… Good thing makeup is a one size fits all.” This line resonated with him and he decided to trademark it. The words stuck, and “makeup is a one size fits all” became Starrr’s mantra — and Instagram bio — as he grew to fame in the beauty YouTube space.
The first launch
Patrick Starrr’s first drop is the GO OFF collection, which includes the Makeup Dissolving Mist, an innovative oil-based spray, and Juiciest Makeup Remover Wipes. He decided to take an unconventional route and chose to launch makeup removal products first.
ONE/SIZE by Patrick Starrr, GO OFF Juiciest Makeup Remover Wipes are priced at $15 and the ONE/SIZE by Patrick Starrr GO OFF Makeup Dissolving Mist is priced at $24. The products are available exclusively at Sephora.
For Patrick Starrr, representation in the beauty industry is crucial. He strives to use his platform to create opportunities that he never envisioned for himself as a “gay, plus-size kid” growing up in Orlando. “With being an influencer comes privilege, status, and access. I’m building a brand and using the opportunity to create something for people who haven’t been seen or heard,” he says. “You have a big gay man running a business and making decisions.
