Pamper your hair with these DIY hair masks!

by Arun Shirishkar

Quarantine has left us with more free time than we would like. Why not put it to some good use and pamper your hair? Payal Upase brings to you DIY hair masks that will provide your hair with the pampering and shine it deserves

Whether it’s damage, dryness, flakes or frizz, we all run into hair issues. The change in seasons, indoor heat, and hot hair tools render our hair damaged and dry. Fear not, these DIY masks will help you revive your hair.  Best part is, these masks can be made with ingredients that are readily available at your homes!

Cinnamon and coconut oil mask
If your hair doesn’t grow in length quickly, try a cinnamon base mask. The antimicrobial spice is known to stimulate blood circulation and promote hair growth and strength.

Ingredients: Equal parts cinnamon and coconut oil.
Directions: Blend ingredients together well. Apply the mask onto your roots and part, and massage into your scalp. Let it sit for 30 to 45 minutes and rinse. Aim to do this mask at least once a week.

Green tea and apple cider vinegar
If you suffer from an irritated scalp look no further, this mask is just the one for you. Green tea is known for its antibacterial properties and is rich in antioxidants. Apple Cider Vinegar helps add the shine back to your hair and makes it feel smooth and silky again.

Ingredients: 1 cup of green tea and 1 tablespoon of apple cider vinegar.
Directions: Mix well, massage into the scalp and let sit for at least five minutes before rinsing.

Yogurt and honey hair mask
This deep conditioning DIY hair mask recipe comes together in no time with just two simple ingredients: yogurt, and honey. If your hair is feeling dry, frizzy and brittle this will be one of your go-to hair masks.

Ingredients: 2 tablespoons natural yogurt and 1 tablespoon honey.
Directions: Mix the honey and yogurt together and apply generously from your roots to your scalp. Wash after it has dried up or after 20 minutes.

There you have it, three simple masks that will help your hair go from drab to fab!
