We’ve all had an extra couple of hours at our disposal due to the lockdown. Despite the cooking and cleaning, this is the best time to learn something new everyday. Since we urge you to stay at home, the team at Professional Beauty India brought the learning to you!
The lineup
Day 1:
We put together a line up of a few best of the best of the industry and brought them to you via your digital screen, under one platform. We kicked off week three with the dynamic duo of makeup, Vipul and Shamlee Bhagat. This duo brought to us a makeup look from the runway and educated us on how we could replicate it. They shared with the audience a step by step breakdown of the stunning makeup look and guided them through the process of achieving it. This makeup session was surely a favourite of the audience and a great learning experience.
Day 2:
For Day 2 Professional Beauty India brought esteemed experts in the spa and wellness sector in one panel discussion to discuss happenings in the spa industry amidst and post the lockdown. The focus of the panel discussion was ‘How the spa business can bounce back after the COVID-19 lockdown?’ The panelists for the session included some of the most esteemed experts in the spa and wellness industry. The panel included Rekha Choudhari, Global Wellness India ambassador and spa veteran; Dr Manoj Kutteri, Spa Director, Atmantan Wellness Centre; Rajan Kalra, Director and Wellness Tourism Expert, Beautiful Soul Pvt Ltd and Jean-Guy de Gabriac, Founder, World Wellness Weekend. This session was moderated by Kanishka Ramchandani, Consulting Editor, Professional Beauty India. The hour long session consisted of insights from the experts and also some great solutions to problems that may occur in the future.
Day 3:
Vaishali Shah, Founder and Director, LTA Academy along with Kanishka Ramchandani, Consulting Editor, Professional Beauty India was a part of a very interesting and educational live for day three. In this live Vaishali doled out some much required clarity on the extra steps that salons will have to incorporate to stay safe post the lockdown. She discussed the extra steps that will be needed across categories of manicure, pedicure, hair services, waxing, threading, facial and more. She took us through each of these categories in depth and enlightened the salon owners about the need for sanitation and how they could achieve it.
Day 4:
For Day 4, a panel discussion on the topic ‘How salon chains are coping up with the pandemic and what’s plan B?’ was conducted. The panelists of this discussion were Istayak Ansari, Truefitt and Hill; Samir Srivastava, Jean-Claude Biguine Salons; Spoorthy Shetty, BBlunt; Vikram Bhatt, Enrich and Vikram Mohan, Spalon India Pvt Ltd. The panel discussion was moderated by Vikas Vij, Managing Director, IDEX India. The panel discussion was an educational affair where the panelists gave out their valuable insights on how salons can bounce back and ensure safety post the lockdown. The panelists also discussed how salon owners can utilise this time for training of employees and also to chalk out their plan of action for their salons post the lockdown.
Day 5:
Ojas Rajani, celebrity makeup artist on day 5 hosted a live on how aspiring makeup artists can build their vanity in a budget. Ojas enlightened the audience about the affordable brands they can opt for and what options are available in the Indian drugstore market. Ojas also answered the questions that the audience had for her. He suggested products makeup artists can use for a full face of makeup and recommended his top picks!
Day 6:
Karishma Chawla, Nutritionist and Lifestyle Educator on day 6 of #PBQuaranLive educated us about the importance of eating right during the onset of COVID-19.
