We’ve all had an extra couple of hours at our disposal due to the lockdown. Despite the cooking and cleaning, this is the best time to learn something new everyday. Since we urge you to stay at home, the team at Professional Beauty India brought the learning to you!
We put together a line up of a few best of the best of the industry and brought them to you via your digital screen, under one platform. The first session was with Vaishali Shah, Founder, Director, LTA Academy. She demonstrated a live demo on how salons can provide waxing and threading services, while maintaining the social distancing norms. She gave a step by step guide on neck and loop threading. While demonstrating waxing, she gave very useful tricks that will help salon owners practice safe waxing with minimum added costs.
Aankith Aroraa from MeSafe India conducted an interactive session with our audience. Aankith spoke about building client confidence and how brands can make their mark in the industry. Aankith spoke about the importance of clients to a brand and the value of client-brand relationships. He gave examples from across the world and how Indian brands can adhere to them.
For Day 3 of the Back to Business Week we had a line up of esteemed experts in the spa and wellness sector in one panel discussion to discuss re opening strategies and also how they can focus on holistic wellness and resurgence of Ayurveda. The panel included of Dr Jitendra Varshney, Six Senses Spa; Dr Rekha Chaudhari, Caressa Day Spa; Dr Arun Pillai, Hilton Shillim; Ritu Tawde, Educator, Consultant and Founder of Spa with Ritu. Our experts dished out their opinions and also educated the audience. Another day, another informative panel discussion. For day 4, we brought to you the business tycoons of our industry – Ankit Virmani, Esskay Beauty Resources Pvt. Ltd; Rayed Merchant, SSIZ International; Ravi Mittal, Ekta Cosmetics; Rizwan Ahmad, Streax Professional. This panel discussion was moderated by Vikas Vij, Managing Director, Professional Beauty India. This brilliant lot brainstormed over how brands could grow their business and manage to cope with the current situation. They also discussed the happenings in the salon industry and what the future holds.
On day 5, we indulged in a conversation with Aankith Aroraa, MeSafe; Pushkaraj Shenai, Lakmé Lever; Veer Kaul, Headmasters Salon Pvt Ltd; Priscilla Corner, June Tomkyns Hair and Beauty Studio; Rahul Bhalchandra and Vaijayanti Bhalchandra, YLG Salons India; Nayana Karunaratne, Salon Nayana in an exclusive panel discussion on salon reopening strategies and building consumer confidence with our Moderator Vikas Vij, Managing Director, Professional Beauty India. This session provided the audience with an insightful perspective on how they could cope with the situation post the lockdown. The advice, solutions and opinions of these experts were highly appreciated by the audience and proved to be an educational experience for them.
For the final day we had Anthony Whitaker, Founder, Grow My Salon Business in a discussion about Salon Management post COVID-19 with Kanishka Ramchandani, Editor, Professional Beauty India. Anthony shared his insightful knowledge about the coping mechanisms a salon owner could adapt to post the lockdown. He also guided the audience on how they could use this time to improve on your skills and prepare for the reopening of their salons.
