Vilvah just launched their first physical location in Chennai. With a focus on sustainability, their new store is plastic-free and plans to promote refills and recycling
Vilvah is a brainchild of Kruthika Kumaran, which was conceived in Coimbatore in 2017. Vilvah offers handcrafted products from soaps, lip balms, day cream, face masks and serum.
Kruthika has always dreamt of having a physical storefront after formulating a range of organic skin and hair care products. Today, her dream has come true in the form of Vivah’s brand new store, in Chennai, which she recently opened at the Varnamala wedding experience centre in T Nagar.
Vivah shifted to plastic-free containers a few months ago. They also plan on installing refill machines for shampoos where their customers can bring old bottles and get them refilled instead of buying more bottles. In addition to this all the ingredients used in their products are completely biodegradable which helps them in their sustainable approach. The Vilvah team plans on taking this one step forward by encouraging their customers to recycle their bottles at the Vilvah store.
Vivah’s products are manufactured with farm fresh coconut oil, neem, oil, jasmine oil, avarampoo (Tanner’s cassia) and turmeric. Kruthika Kumaran says, “We have our own farm near Coimbatore where we rear goats, and that is how I started making goat milk soaps. All the ingredients for our products come straight from our farm, and so we don’t have to worry about sourcing raw materials.” Vilvah first gained recognition for its products with goat milk. Their product portfolio has expanded since into natural deodorants, eye creams, shampoos, soaps, facial oils and more.
