With lockdown 4.0 in place, a few state governments have given salon owners a heads up to operate across the green and orange zones in the country. Let’s find out how the reopening of salons has been like with new rules and regulations
India has been in lockdown for almost two months. With most of its businesses shut, people have faced severe losses. But amidst all this, salon owners have been gearing up to reopen. Salon owners are training their staff and ensuring that strict safety and sanitation norms are practised before they go back in action.
Reopening of salons
Salons have reopened in a few states across the country. Amongst all, Goa was the first state to be declared as a green zone. Businesses in Goa were given permission to operate with a curfew whilst adhering to strict social distancing and sanitation rules.
In a big relief to the salon owners and barbers, following the Union Ministry of Home Affairs (MHA) guidelines states like Bangalore, Ludhiana, Gurugram have issued a relaxation on the regulations and given salon owners permission to reopen.
Situation in Gurugram
The Haryana government has allowed beauty parlours and salons to operate across the state. There are several salons who have started their business with barbers and hairdressers serving customers, while wearing PPE kits. Specific instructions have been given to these salons about the hygiene and sanitization norms which they have to follow strictly while operating. Those involved in the business of beauty will wear full PPE kits and gloves. Besides the sanitisation process, norms on social distancing also have to be followed. Staff and customer capacity has been asked to keep low. (As per an article published on IndiaTvNews)
