Mahima Gandhi from LTA Beauty Academy has won the Final Elimination Round at IndiaSkills competition in beauty therapy category. In another development, as India’s biggest CIDESCO chain of schools, LTA has set a new record.

Mahima Gandhi is all set to represent India at the upcoming WorldSkills Competition in Kazan, Russia. She recently won the final elimination round at IndiaSkills competition in the beauty therapy category. She will now be trained and groomed by beauty experts to prepare her for the international competition. Mahima had completed an 18-month Comprehensive Course in Salon Graduate Programme and is from LTA School, Delhi.

Speaking about her success, Biju Nair, Director, LTA Beauty Academy, said, “What the success of Worldskills Competition has done for the beauty industry is that it has drawn in fresh talent. Contestants like Karishma Gupta, who won the medallion for India in 2017, have acquired star status overnight, even though she was barely 21 years of age. With every competition India has been improving its global ranking and we trust the esteemed jury members and Skill Experts to have selected the best candidate in Mahima Gandhi to represent India at Kazan and do even better.”

“I am certain that like Karishma Gupta before her, Mahima Gandhi, too, would inspire thousands of youngsters to join this industry and be an beauty skills Ambassador. It has been a huge honour for LTA Beauty Academy to serve the nation by producing high quality Champion Beauty Graduates who could represent India at world stage starting from Ravina Bhatti in 2013 to Mahima Gandhi in 2019. LTA would continue this mission of making India proud over and over again by spreading this awareness level to all parts of this country. Here’s wishing India good luck.”

Adding to this, Vaishali K Shah, Director and Head of Education, LTA Beauty School, said, “Since 2013 that I have been the official World Skills Expert for beauty therapy, I have seen huge increase in awareness level of global standards in beauty skills in India. India’s success in Worldskills competition has now made many countries look upto India for high quality talent. I am sure Mahima Gandhi, who has now been selected to represent India at WorldSkills Competition Kazan2019 would follow her predecessor and make India proud. I seek the well wishes and support of the entire beauty fraternity to ensure India’s candidate wins the top honours.”

Setting records
In another developement, LTA School of Beauty has raised the bar once again. Over 65 of its students successfully qualified to enter into the professional world of beauty therapy and make-up artistry. The teachers and management at LTA is grateful to all students and their guardians for having trusted it in helping them qualify with one of the world’s most prestigious diplomas in beauty therapy and make-up.

To add to this, LTA also took an important step forward by introducing Online Assessment method for CIDESCO theory exam this season. By doing so the Academy could conduct theory exam for its students simultaneously across all its CIDESCO schools in Andheri (Mumbai), Thane, Pune and New Delhi, thereby increasing efficiency of time and convenience. Almost 100 students appeared for the theory and practical exams across LTA Schools in India. This was a new record, too.

CIDESCO is world’s highest qualification in beauty and spa therapy since 1946. CIDESCO International guides and trains LTA’s technical team on how to take skill training to the next level.
