Mamaearth’s Parent Company To File IPO To Raise INR 400 crore

The first new-age D2C brand in India, Mamaearth’s parent company to raise INR 400 Crore through IPO.

As per the market reports, the beauty and personal care industry which was valued at USD 17.8 billion in 2020 is anticipated to reach USD 27.5 billion by 2025. This beauty industry also witnessed a lot of unicorn companies entering the segment in 2022. With Mamaearth being the first Unicorn company of 2022. And now Honasa Consumer Ltd, the parent company of the D2C brand Mamaearth has filed an IPO to raise INR 400 Crore.

As per the company’s financial statements, it reported a profit of INR 157.2 million in FY2022. And they will be using INR 1.86 billion raised from the IPO for advertising expenses.

If the IPO comes through, then Honasa Consumer Ltd will be the first-ever D2C company in India to file an IPO. Honasa Consumers already has investors like Sofina, Stellaris Venture Partners, Co-founders Varun and Ghazal Alagh and Bollywood actor Shilpa Shetty. However, post the IPO announcement, even they are anticipated to partially sell their stakes in the offer for sale.
