Wellness does not start with ME, but with WE

by Arun Shirishkar

Jean Guy, Founder of World Wellness is educating us today about the importance of wellness and an active lifestyle amidst the pandemic. Let’s find out what he has to share with us

The world is a mess and people need wellness more than ever: physical, mental, emotional and social wellness. No-one knows when this will come to an end. The only thing we can do in the meantime is to strengthen our immune system. We can be more active, flush out toxins and be in better shape. We can find moments of calm each day, even if they are brief, to build resiliency.  We should become the artisans of healthier and more vibrant lifestyles.

A Pledge for all
Through the Wellness Pledge, we can positively impact the lives of people near or far. Together we can revive the inner flame in people’s hearts and eyes enthusiasm is free and renewable energy. We can either endure the hardships that salon owners and spa managers are facing or we can show a united front at the 4th World Wellness Weekend and share the same message.

‘It is safe for people to return to their favourite spas and beauty salons; It is essential to boost their immune system, strengthen their vitality through energy meridians; it is  to manage stress and pacify busy minds through serenity and resiliency.’

Guiding light
In the midst of coronavirus, doctors and nurses have become the first line of responders facing the new virus every day. Now, it’s our responsibility to lead people towards a healthy life and be the best version of themselves.

Vocation over Location
In these times of uncertainty for humanity, the most important factor of your success is not location or vocation. Your expertise, passion and connection with your team and local citizens matters.

Victory of the Body, Victory of the Mind
Together, let’s garner the attention towards the importance of wellness. Let’s encourage people, professionals and cities to post photos or videos that bring a smile from one ear to the other. Let’s make them want to walk, run, hike, bike, dance to experience the joy of how great it feels to be well. Let’s encourage people to wear a mask, be 6 feet apart. Let’s make them feel safe: physically distant but socially close.
