Beauty Garage Files DRHP with SEBI for INR 125 Crore IPO

Homegrown professional haircare brand Beauty Garage Limited (BGL) has filed its Draft Red Herring Prospectus (DRHP) with the Securities and Exchange Board of India (SEBI), taking a major step towards launching its Initial Public Offering (IPO). The filing marks an important milestone not only for the company but also for India’s rapidly evolving professional beauty industry.

Beauty Garage has built a strong reputation in the premium salon segment by offering professional haircare solutions for salons, stylists, and consumers. Today, the company operates across 272 cities and supplies products to more than 13,000 salons through its nationwide distribution network. Its portfolio includes 133 products spanning shampoos, conditioners, styling products, scalp care, and hair treatment solutions, all supported by in-house research and development, manufacturing, design, packaging, and marketing capabilities.

IPO Highlights

  • Fresh issue: Up to ₹125 crore
  • Offer for Sale (OFS): Up to 78.36 lakh equity shares by promoters Jigar Babubhai Ravaria and Mahesh Babubhai Ravaria
  • Proposed use of proceeds: Setting up a new manufacturing facility in Vasai, Mumbai, and meeting general corporate requirements.

The planned manufacturing facility is expected to enhance Beauty Garage’s production capacity and support its long-term expansion strategy. It also reflects the company’s continued investment in strengthening its operations as demand for premium, salon-grade haircare products continues to grow across India.

Why This IPO Matters

Beauty Garage’s DRHP filing is more than a corporate milestone. It signals the growing maturity of India’s professional beauty sector, where salon-focused brands are attracting greater investor confidence and scaling their businesses with long-term growth in mind.

As more Indian beauty companies invest in manufacturing, innovation, and distribution, the industry is evolving from a fragmented market into an organised, professionally managed ecosystem. A successful public listing would also place Beauty Garage among a small but growing group of homegrown beauty brands tapping the capital markets to accelerate growth.

The IPO could further strengthen confidence in India’s professional haircare segment while encouraging greater investment in product innovation, manufacturing infrastructure, and salon education. For salon owners and professionals, it highlights the increasing strength and commercial potential of Indian brands built specifically for the professional channel.

What This Means for the Industry

  • Beauty Garage becomes one of the few Indian professional beauty brands to pursue a public listing.
  • The IPO reflects increasing investor confidence in India’s salon and professional haircare market.
  • Investment in domestic manufacturing is expected to strengthen India’s professional beauty supply chain.
  • The move could encourage other homegrown salon brands to explore public markets as they scale their businesses.
  • Greater access to capital may drive innovation, product development, and expansion across the professional beauty sector.

Key Takeaways

Beauty Garage’s DRHP filing represents a significant milestone for both the company and India’s professional beauty industry. With plans to expand manufacturing, strengthen its operational capabilities, and raise fresh capital through the IPO, the homegrown haircare brand is positioning itself for its next phase of growth. For the wider industry, the filing reinforces the growing credibility, scale, and investment potential of India’s professional salon market.
