A workshop on beauty and wellness was organised by the Cosmetology Department of Shri Guru Tegh Bahadur College for Women, with the prime objective to make women self-reliant and provide them with employment opportunities. The Principal of the college, Nanak Singh, assembled a team of experts from Technical College Ramtirth, to share knowledge on modern techniques related to the industry, cited a report by Tribune India.
As a part of the workshop, the experts explained how and why it is important to adopt the existing technology to enhance beauty in the present situation. According to Singh, to get professional education along with studies is necessary for women in the current inflation era, as it could become a big stepping stone towards their financial independence.
On this occasion, hands-on training was also imparted to the students by the said team of experts on special tips on hairstyling, setting, curling and colouration.
