Bangalore-based salon, skin clinic, and spa chain Bodycraft has its sights set on achieving a revenue worth Rs 215 crore by the end of the next two years. Also, the chain is aiming for a major expansion with 10 new stores by the end of the year.
Bodycraft is likely to close the Financial Year 2025 with a revenue of nearly Rs 135 crore, rising from Rs 98 crore in FY24. Furthermore, the brand is aiming an expansion by opening up 10 new stores in 2025. The outlets will be present across key areas of South and North India.
The CEO of Bodycraft, Sahil Gupta, suggests that the chain has seen substantial growth in the past year. Bodycraft has seen a 42% increase in revenue over the last year and is witnessing 30% year-on-year growth. With this, the chain is looking at a growth rate of 60% within the next two years.
As of today, Bodycraft boasts 25 locations. These outlets range from 2000 to 3000 sq. feet. Out of these 25, 18 are under the company-owned, company-operated (COCO) model. On the other hand, the remaining seven are franchise-owned, franchise-operated (FOFO) model.
All set for the expansion
Moving forward, the outlet will see 10 more outlets this year. “We will begin with Mysore in the first quarter. Next will be Bengaluru (Electronic City and Sarjapur), Hyderabad, and Vellore in the second quarter. Up north, we are looking at Lucknow, Kanpur, Dwarka and Noida,” said Gupta.
“Moving forward, we plan to maintain a 60:40 ratio. With 60% of our salons under the COCO model and 40% under FOFO. While clinics will continue to be exclusively COCO,” Gupta further added.
As the chain plans its expansion, it prefers having stores on high streets rather than in malls. “High streets offer better visibility, easier accessibility, help us connect directly with our target audience and give us more control over our costs. Malls, on the other hand, often come with higher rental commitments and additional charges, which can increase overhead costs and limit flexibility in operations,” Gupta also added.
The top priorities
As Bodycraft looks forward to great revenues and expansion, growth, consistency, and digital innovation are at the forefront. “Leveraging technology, we will be enhancing customer experience through easier appointment bookings and AI-powered skin assessments, making our services more accessible, convenient, and engaging,” Gupta concluded.
