David Corbett’s – In Odd We Trust Collection

David Corbett’s ‘In Odd We Trust’ Collection is a perfect analogy of the beautiful and challenging reality. It fits perfectly into today’s gender-fluid society. Priyanka Parshurami, gets you exclusive glimpses from this latest collection.

This was a gender morph roving, David Sims, 2005 Vogue-inspired collection. David Corbett wanted to create the same stark, androgynous feel in this collection. Harsh highlight makeup and exaggerated facial expressions accentuate a wide variety of styling techniques. It shows off the strong individual hairstyles with unique cutting and colouring techniques.

‘In Odd We Trust’ is a beautiful and challenging theme, which serves as a perfect analogy for a gender-fluid society.

  1. George:

I wanted to create lots of romantic movement in the hair without a forced look.  To give a natural look, I wove hair in the rollers directionally before setting them. Then the hair was brushed out and dressed desirably.

  1. Bee:

Classic blunt bob with a graphic edge and an interior graduation. We wanted to portray that a strong graphic design can also inspire beauty. Emphasising the precision of the cut, shine and simplicity.

  1. Theo:

I pinned back the hair by forcing them up. Then the front outline was placed over to create a soft movement along the top line.

  1. Beth:

We extended the model’s hair at the back with the use of extensions. Then we gave a full wolf cut with a razor cut to create this longer mullet shape.
