The professional-grade skincare brand, Dermalogica has launched the PROSkin 60 – Pollution Shield treatment. For now, the treatment is exclusively available at all Looks Salons in Mumbai. It will soon be launched in the rest of the network.
Urban pollution levels are rapidly increasing in Mumbai due to heavy traffic, ever-continuing construction activities, and a lack of greenery. Consequently, the city has witnessed around a 30% increase in particulate matter (PM). The thick layer of dust and smog that surrounds the people harms the skin and leads to several skin conditions. Some common skin problems due to the same include brown spots, fine lines, wrinkles, and premature ageing.
To combat this growing problem, Dermalogica has come up with a special solution. It has launched a treatment aimed at fighting pollution-related skin damage.
Dermalogica PROSkin 60 – Pollution Shield, an hour-long, customisable treatment that detoxifies, purifies and protects the skin from environmental pollutants. As this treatment targets clogged pores, it absorbs pollutants from the deeper layers of the skin.
Procedure
The regimen starts with a professional at Looks Salon using the Ultra Calming Cleanser. It’s a mild formula that alleviates sensitivity and inflammation induced by exposure to pollution. Following this, the professional uses the Daily Superfoliant, containing charcoal. It exfoliates and eliminates pollution particles from deep within the pores. Accompanying this is the Soothing Additive, an aromatic oil blend featuring Eucalyptus and Lavender, aimed at alleviating skin sensitivity. The professional then concludes the treatment with the Antioxidant Hydramist toner. It offers protection against free radicals, while the Biolumin-C Serum enhances skin resilience. The outcome is refreshed, moisturised, and less sensitive skin.
