Diana Carson Showcases Her Latest Collection: Intention

Diana Carson’s Intention Collection

Rainbow Room International stylist Diana Carson recently unveiled her latest hair styling collection called ‘Intention’. With a play of textures and cuts, the collection highlights how hair can look when the styling is intentionally honest. Vidhi Arya from Professional Beauty India breaks down the looks for you.

Centred around hair being intentionally honest, the collection ‘Intention’ features a variety of haircuts, lengths, textures, and colour play. The collection intends to show the beauty of hair purely as it is, without the influence of editing. Captured in greyscale, the collection highlights the appeal of the various cuts and textures even when they’re presented in the simplest manner.

“With the Intention Collection, I wanted to show off my cutting style to a T and display a number of haircutting techniques,” said Diana Carson as she explained the collection. “These include heavy texture and varying overall lengths of the cut.”

Showcasing different lengths and textures, these looks show how versatile bobs can be. While the first look has a more traditional cut, the texture induced is raw, seemingly similar to what drenched hair looks like. The second style features a sleek, short bob with uneven bangs that end right at the top of the forehead. With long frayed bangs, the last one features sharp lines and shapes as hair is shorter in the front and left longer at the back, in stark contrast.

The first look here involves strokes of a lighter colour bringing about a contrast in the mohawk-like hair. While the hair on the crown is shorter, a thin volume of hair at the nape of the neck is left longer. Defining the shape of the face. The second is nothing less than intriguing with several cornraw-akin thick braided strands shaped in a random fashion. Ultimately, the last look features a texture-heavy classic hairstyle with loose curls.

Here, the four looks present the various styles with short hair. Creating a play of light and dark hair colours, the styles bring forward a combination of cuts, textures, and shapes. These hairstyles are indeed a creative take on pixie cuts. While the first two looks are rawer in nature, the third look has been given depth with interesting shapes and the fourth one features clean, sharp lines for a sleek look.
