The 76th Cannes Film Festival is a celebration of the art of filmmaking. Everyone’s focus is on the various genres of international documentaries and movies. However, what wins many hearts is the celebrity appearances and their fabulous outfits!
Aishwarya Rai, Deepika Padukone, Priyanka Chopra and many others have graced the red carpet in iconic looks. This year, some made a staggering debut at Cannes 2023. Some old faces also made an appearance in a fresh new look. Here’s the fashion decode of their red carpet look!
Sara Ali Khan
Kedarnath starrer Sara Ali Khan made her debut at the 2023 Cannes Film Festival. She posted a picture of her day 1 lehenga look at the French Riviera. The exquisite hand-embroidered multi-panelled skirt and crystal-studded blouse showcased intricate craftsmanship. The single-draped tulle looked elegant. The intricate patterns and designs were painstakingly handmade. She made sure her debut would be one to remember for years to come.
Sara Ali Khan, adorned in a white saree gown designed by Abu Jani-Sandeep Khosla, embraced the essence of Indian culture-inspired attires.
Aishwarya Rai
True to her reputation, Aishwarya Rai walked the red carpet in an iconic new look. The glimmering gown presented an elegant mystique look. The black bow in the front of the shimmering gown looked stunning Sleek hairdo with scarlet red lips, she looked as inimitable as always. Aishwarya Rai has never failed to make an appearance and stand out at Cannes. This year was no different.
Esha Gupta
Esha Gupta sported a pastel pink gown with a high collar and plunging neckline. The delicate lace trimmings and floral details were designed by Nicolas Jevran Couture.
A loose hair bun and dangling earrings added an extra edge to the gorgeous outfit. Esha Gupta looked nothing short of sensational in this ensemble.
Manushi Chhillar
The former Miss World winner looked stunning in a white tulle gown curated by fashion designer house Fovari. The off-shoulder dress with a corset bodice and plunging neckline looked stunning. The soft waved hair and minimal makeup look made sure the brilliant white gown became the centre of attention.
She was also seen adorning another off-shoulder black gown designed by Sajid Kobeisy. Manushi was elegance personified at the festival.
Urvashi Rautela
Urvashi Rautela raise the glamour and opulence quotient of the festival with her fuschia pink ruffled gown. Her statement piece, the crocodile necklace became the talk of the town. She was also seen in a bright orange Tarik Ediz Couture studded with crystals. With her bold choices and high hair updos, Urvashi dressed to impress.
The dress that stunned everyone was a national bird peacock-inspired gown, complete with peacock blue lips and a shimmering statement neckpiece. The gown had stunning blue details and white trimmings. The beautiful off-shoulder detail was hard to miss and looked gorgeous.
Mrunal Thakur
Falguni and Shane Peacock crafted Mrunal Thakur’s debut gown. The risque cutout white gown became one of the most talked about outfits of Cannes. While the internet is divided over her risque look, she sure looked stunning in her outfit. Single shoulder, ruffled train and cutout details were stunning and fit like a glove. She accessorised the look with statement crystal earrings and nude, understated makeup.
Additionally, Shark Tank India Judge and boAt founder Aman Gupta became the first Indian Entrepreneur to walk the red carpet. Andrea Kevichusa, a Nagaland-born actress also graced the red carpet, representing her state at an international forum. While various countries cheered for their representatives, the world was happy to see Johnny Depp at the festival since the aftermath of the court battle against Amber Heard.
