Two days of IIFA were nothing less than a spectacle! With mind-blowing looks, the green carpet at the awards was a mesmerising display of fashion. Vidhi Arya from Professional Beauty India highlights the IIFA looks that stole our hearts.
The IIFA Digital Awards and IIFA Awards recently concluded, celebrating the artistic visionaries of Hindi Cinema. The green carpet left the nation in a frenzy as stars brought style galore to it. Some actresses flaunted an elaborate fashion game with makeup that got us hooked. Wondering who we loved the most? Here’s a list of IIFA looks that truly stood out for us.
Kriti Sanon
Kriti Sanon was truly a stunning sight with two very different looks: a fusion-Indian and a chic one.
For her first look (left), she stunned in a sculpted, gathered white gown by Mark Bumgarner—an exquisite blend of futurism and timeless elegance. She elevated the ensemble with wet-look hair, dewy skin, and soft, neutral-toned makeup.
For her second look (right), she chose a regal, Indian-fusion aesthetic. She wore an ivory ensemble by Rajesh Pratap Singh. The look featured a delicate organza skirt and a structured jacket, exuding an Indian goddess aura. Layered gold necklaces and rings added a touch of opulence. While her heavily kohled eyes intensified the drama, her wavy plaits added grace.
Kareena Kapoor
For her first look (left), Kareena Kapoor embraced a royal, opulent vibe, dressed in ethereal shades of maroon and gold. She wore a saree gown by Tarun Tahiliani. Adding to her grace was her slicked-back bun and glowing makeup. And, the bindi was surely the cherry on the cake!
For the second look (right), Kapoor wore a shimmering powder blue gown by Tony Ward. The high slit and a side-swept trail made the look extremely fun and classy. Her wavy hair, left open and side-swept, added to the element of the attire. She kept her makeup very soft and finished the look with a thin liner and glossy lips.
Tanya Maniktala
Tanya Maniktala truly looked like a Greek goddess dressed for an Indian occasion. Her ivory saree by Nikita Gujral was draped to perfection, paired with a halter neck blouse that accentuated her delicate shoulders. Her look was elevated by finger-waved fringe and a bun. For her makeup, she chose soft, neutral shades with a glossy, mauve lip shade.
Rekha
Rekha ji stepped on the green carpet with her timeless grace. One of the most graceful IIFA looks! She wore a gorgeous golden silk saree, pairing it with a gajra-laden bun. The dramatic eyeliner and bold lips are her go-to and no matter how much we adore it, it’s never enough!
Katrina Kaif
Oh look, is it a princess or is it a fairy? That’s Katrina Kaif walking the green carpet at IIFA. Her Tarun Tahiliani lehenga included a corset and a mermaid-cut skirt. Her ensemble featured intricate tulle details and mesmerising soft floral motifs.
For her makeup, Katrina stuck to her usual look: a dewy base, pink cheeks, matte lips and, kohl-rimmed eyes. She wore her hair open in soft curls to complete her overall fit.
Madhuri Dixit
Speaking of power dressing? Maybe you can take some notes from Madhuri Dixit. A structured blazer with lace peeping from beneath and well-fitted wide-legged pants: isn’t that the flawless combination of power and grace? It sure is. Dixit completed her look with sleek, straightened hair and bold lips: both of these matched the outfit to perfection.
Sanjeeda Shaikh
Sanjeeda Shaikh looked so soft and yet so powerful in this attire. She wore a well-structured blazer that featured a peplum, a deep neck, and puffed sleeves paired with a tulle skirt. Isn’t that such a strong and yet so feminine combination? She left her tresses open, flaunting her soft waves. Soft, barely-there makeup and coral lips completed her look.
