Over the past few years, the Cannes Festival has transcended cinema and has become a melting pot of art, culture, fashion, and business. Consequently, there has been a lush rise in the number of Indian influencers at the Cannes Film Festival. The representation has been awe-inspiring, thanks to collaborations from major brands like Brut., L’Oréal, Chopard, Renault, BMW, Mastercard, and many others. From walking the red carpet to being present at other extravagant events at the festivals, these influencers are leaving a global mark, representing our nation.
Here is a list of some amazing looks donned by the Indian influencers at the Cannes red carpet:
Nancy Tyagi
Nancy Tyagi has taken the internet by storm by hand-stitching some elaborate and mesmerising ensembles, all from scratch. Present at Cannes with Brut., Tyagi donned a pink ruffled gown to the red carpet. The gown, she stitched by herself with over 1,000 metres of fabric in nearly one month made history. She’s the first person to make her outfit for the Cannes. She truly won hearts by pairing the outfit with hair down and neutral dewy makeup, featuring subtle eyeliner, neutral lips, and a light pink blush.
RJ Karisma
Karishma wore a silver lehenga by Abhinav Misra featuring a thigh-high slit and a long train. The outfit was paired with a matching shimmering dupatta. For her hair, she left her hair centre-parted, straightened, and open. The makeup complemented the outfit’s glam as it features kohled eyes, thick winged liner, and neutral lips.
Ankush Bahugana
The renowned beauty content creator, Bahugana brought a fresh breath of air with his fashion and makeup at the Cannes. While his Karan Torani outfit, representing Indian heritage, was a stunning riot of patterns and colours, what stood out were his eyebrows. The brown-blue-purple ombre eyebrows looked fascinating with his layered surfer hair.
The second look by Bahugana was noteworthy in a way, we had to cover it. Donning a Rohitash Notani ensemble, his attire featured crisp, wide pants with a short blazer adorned with netted flora. He paired the outfit with black and white, pointed-toed heels. The high point of the look has to be the vintage waved hairstyle and the black nail paint.
Aastha Shah
Aastha Shah turned up on the Cannes red carpet in a golden satin gown by Fouad Sarkis. She paired her outfit with Swarovski jewels on her wrists and ears. Her hair complemented the regal feel of the outfit as it was tied in an intricate bun with a middle parting and face-framing tendrils. And, for the makeup, she opted for a dewy finish featuring neutral hues.
