The internship is exclusively open to students who have completed advanced courses in hair, skin, or cosmetology. Additionally, they should have scored 75% or above in their internal assessments. This one-month, full-time program requires a six-day-a-week commitment. Eligible candidates will work in Lakmē Salons across India. They’ll gain exposure to real-time salon operations and customer interactions.

The internship spans one month and requires a full-time commitment from students, working six days a week. Those who qualify will work in Lakmē Salons across the country. The program aims to give students first-hand experience in salon operations. It will allow them to develop strong customer service skills and gain practical industry knowledge.
The program
Throughout the internship, students receive training in salon protocols, product usage, and key client service techniques. Guided by experienced salon professionals, interns assist with a range of services including threading, waxing, shampooing, blow-drying, and client consultations. They also get the opportunity to observe seasoned stylists and aestheticians, participate in setting up service areas, and practice their techniques on professionals—all while adhering to Lakmē’s grooming standards.
Personality development module
To help students excel in their careers, Lakmē Academy Powered by Aptech includes a dedicated personality development module across all career-oriented courses. This module aims to give aspiring beauty professionals a competitive edge by building their confidence and soft skills.
Students undergo mock interview sessions and learn professional grooming and business etiquette, and basic networking strategies. The focus is on enhancing their verbal and non-verbal communication skills, while also offering personalised guidance on business practices. This all-around training ensures students are not only technically growing but also industry-ready in their overall presentation and approach.
Assessment, evaluation, and opportunities
Interns will be continuously evaluated during the course of the program, with their performance, commitment, and growth closely monitored. Those who demonstrate outstanding dedication and skill might receive full-time placements at reputed Lakmē Salons. Mentor feedback and final evaluations play a key role in shaping these opportunities.
Upon successful completion of the internship, students receive a certification from Lakmē Academy Powered by Aptech. This credential not only recognises their hands-on experience but also validates the knowledge and professionalism gained during the internship.
