Men’s Trends 2025: Moustaches and Scuffy Beards

When it comes to men’s grooming, few know the pulse of evolving trends better than Dharmesh ‘Dodo’ Hingorani, barber and co-founder of Zido Salon. In an exclusive chat with Priyanka Parshurami, Dodo unpacks what’s hot in men’s facial hair this year  from bold moustache statements to effortless beards.

From red carpets to city streets, men’s grooming is evolving at lightning speed. This year, facial hair is all about bold statements and effortless styles. Dharmesh ‘Dodo’ Hingorani, barber and co-founder of Zido Salon, reveals the top beard and moustache trends that are shaping 2025 giving men a mix of classic charm and contemporary edge.

The Comeback of the Pornstar Moustache

According to Dodo, the biggest comeback of 2025 is the Pornstar Moustache, a bold, vintage-inspired look embraced by global names like Henry Cavill, Justin Bieber, and closer home, Abhay Deol. “Forget the beard, it’s moustache time,” he laughs, pointing out that it pairs perfectly with retro hairstyles like the mullet.

The Scuffy, Effortless Beard

If you are keeping your beard, precision is out and natural texture is in. Dodo predicts that the scuffy beard, clean yet slightly rugged will dominate this season. “It’s well-kept but not overly shaped,” he explains. “I think Bobby Deol’s current look is natural, lived-in and full of personality.”

Finding the Right Beard for Your Face

While trends help, Dodo believes attitude is everything. “The style shouldn’t carry you, but you should carry the style,” he says. For most Indian men, he suggests experimenting between V-shaped beards and softer, rounded edges, depending on the face shape.

Grooming and Evolution

The trick to keeping your beard sharp? “A trimmer at home to clean cheek and neck lines that’s all you need,” advises Dodo. He also notes that Indian men are evolving in their approach: “The new generation isn’t chasing celebrity styles anymore; they are learning what works best for their growth pattern.”

As Dodo sums it up: “Trust your gut, try new looks, and who knows you might just start the next big trend.”
