Naturals Beauty Academy Inaugurates a New Branch at Borivali

Naturals Beauty Academy in Borivali, Mumbai.

Naturals Beauty Academy and Starstruck by Sunny Leone have come together and launched Naturals Beauty Academy in Borivali, Mumbai. Intending to redefine beauty education in India, this synergy looks forward to bringing about a union of quality, consciousness, and cruelty-free practices. Priyanka Parshurami from Professional Beauty India delves into how this launch seeks to bring about a change.

Recently Naturals Beauty Academy came together with Starstruck by Sunny Leone and launched a new Naturals Beauty Academy and Outlet in Borivali, Mumbai. With this academy, Naturals aims to create a difference in the curriculum and format of training, away from the traditional format of classroom training.

The academy is steadfastly focused on aspects like hands-on training, industry projects, brand training, and professional product knowledge. NBA has a curriculum designed with inputs from professional brands and stakeholders from the industry. The ultimate aim is to make beauty career aspirants “industry ready”. Currently, with 24 active academies across India, the NBA is expanding to several cities to make a difference.

Speaking to Professional Beauty India regarding the opening of the academy, C K Kumaravel, CEO & Co-Founder of Naturals Salon said, “A journey of a thousand miles begins with a single step. Though we have a huge footing in the South with 775 salons, in this market we are a baby. However, success in South India will not get us success in West India. So, we need to re-learn new aspects that suit the West. As Alvin Toffler puts it, the illiterates of the 21st century are the ones who cannot learn, unlearn, and relearn. Having said that, now I have a very talented, dedicated and committed team taking the baton forward. I am sure that they will make Naturals shine all over the country.”

Course Structure at Naturals Beauty Academy

Allen John, Chief Operating Officer at Naturals and Naturals Beauty Academy, takes us through the courses and admission formalities at the Naturals Beauty Academy.

Courses:
“NBA has extended its modules in hair, beauty, nails, makeup, cosmetology, and aesthetics with an automated cycle to introduce short courses on trending topics with even specialised International tour courses. And, since we would like to give every student personal attention, we have up to eight students per batch and also flexible batch timings and weekend batches.”

Enrolment criteria and fee:
“Any individual that is above 18 years of age can enrol. However, for our advanced and specialised courses, we enrol students who have completed the minimum qualification as per industry norms. Going further, we have multiple upgrade programs to permit undergraduate students or freelancing individuals to learn better about new technology and trends. Our fee structure ranges from Rs.10,000 to up to 3.5 Lacs.”

Placement opportunities:
“We provide a 100% placement assurance and also train the students on performing during interviews and job applications.”

The Changing Landscape of Beauty Education and The Road Ahead

As per Kumaravel, the beauty curriculum in India is rapidly evolving, surpassing Western standards in many aspects. From barbers to hairdressers, the industry has evolved. Now breaking cost barriers, the industry presents lucrative career opportunities for makeup artists and hairstylists. At Naturals, service providers are affectionately termed “smile providers,” reflecting their role in bringing joy to customers. Together, Naturals is shaping a commercially successful beauty landscape for all stakeholders in India.

“In the coming years, we aim to make Naturals an international brand. We are in no way less than another counterpart. I want to make Naturals the number-one salon chain in the world. And that’s a dream we are dedicatedly working on. With all the support that I have, I’m certain it is achievable,” says C K Kumaravel.
