In a bid to bring world-class education to India, Bodycraft Academy is strengthening its collaboration with the Sassoon Academy School Connection, under the leadership of Swati Gupta.
Swati Gupta, Director and Head of Creative Development, Bodycraft Salon, Bangalore and Mumbai, is known for her deep-rooted knowledge of the professional beauty and hair care industry. Having trained with reputed international names like Toni & Guy, Vidal Sassoon and the Greasepaint Academy, Gupta has ushered Bodycraft Salon into a new era of trends and innovation. She has played an instrumental role in introducing System Professional, Malibu C and many other top brands in India. She also holds the Master Color Expert accreditation from Wella Professionals. Taking her role a step beyond, Gupta is now spearheading the Bodycraft Academy, which has an exclusive collaboration with the Sassoon Academy School Connection. Under this joint banner, the academy provides world-class education from global experts. This collaboration is the first-of-its-kind in India and the fourth globally.
Speaking about this, Gupta said,” When I went abroad to train with the Sassoon Academy and Wella, it became very apparent to me what a valuable addition a good curriculum and formal training can be. But there wasn’t any scope for it in India. It has since been a goal for all of us at Bodycraft to fill this gap in the industry and provide education that is formal and affordable. We wanted an established module and curriculum that would be widely accepted and open more avenues with faster growth – building a generation of stylists that can start their careers with a strong educational foundation.”
