PBI Delhi 2026 Day 2: Global Trends and Industry Reform

Professional Beauty India 2026, powered by Beauty Garage Pro, concluded its day 2 at Pragati Maidan, New Delhi, on June 30. Day two celebrated technical mastery across hair, barbering, and beauty while bringing the industry’s biggest conversations on education, certification, and regulation to the forefront.

Modern Barber Challenge: Precision Took Centre Stage

The Modern Barber Challenge pushed contestants to showcase pure technical skill through two demanding categories:

  • Creative Scissors: A 45-minute challenge where clippers were prohibited. Competitors relied solely on scissors, with texturising or feather razors permitted and trimmers used only for clean-up work.
  • Hair Tattoo: A scalp design challenge that tested creativity, precision, and finishing skills.

Each category was evaluated immediately by a rotating jury panel, ensuring high technical standards throughout the competition.

Beauty Stage: PMU, Brushes, and Glam Looks

The Beauty Stage blended education with trend-driven artistry through sessions including:

  • London Pride on selecting and using professional makeup brushes.
  • Tamchi Kache, in partnership with Lush Brow, demonstrating the feather hairstroke technique in permanent makeup (PMU).
  • Kaveri Singh creating a Met Gala-inspired look for Mary Jo K.
  • Yashika Sehgal presenting a glamorous party makeup look for Swiss Beauty.
  • Debarati Ghosh showcasing natural brow shaping for British Brow.

Salon Management Congress: Shaping the Future of India’s Salon Industry

The Salon Management Congress concluded with four thought-provoking panel discussions:

  • From Vanity to Value: Examined preventative beauty services, personalisation, and the evolving role of salons.
  • The New Beauty Business: Explored clinical beauty, clean beauty, sustainability, and retail innovation.
  • Education and Certification: Debated skill gaps, training responsibilities, and the need for stronger professional standards.
  • Learning to Lead: Industry leaders discussed licensing, Recognition of Prior Learning (RPL), and the Hair and Beauty Federation of India’s role in building a more structured future for the sector.

Key Takeaways from Day 2:
