Soulflower Breaks Records in Clean Beauty

Soulflower, India’s Farm to Face beauty brand, achieved a record monthly production of 300,000 units. The brand did so only using ingredients from its organic farms. Here’s a sneak peak into brands plans to increase this to half a million by November 2024. All so while they continue to champion transparency, sustainability, and cruelty-free practices.

Soulflower, India’s leading direct-to-consumer (D2C) beauty brand, is redefining the clean beauty landscape with its commitment to transparency, sustainability, and high-efficacy products. Specialising in 100 percent natural, organic, preservative-free, and cruelty-free skin and hair care solutions, Soulflower has been serving customers for over 23 years.

This year, Soulflower achieved a record-breaking production milestone. The brand produced 300,000 units per month, using core ingredients sourced directly from its organic farms in Rajasthan. This accomplishment marks a significant step towards becoming one of the largest Farm to Face beauty brands in India. The brand aims to reach a production capacity of half a million units per month by November 2024. Furthermore, their annual target is six million units.

Soulflower’s success comes from its #CleanBeauty and #FarmToFace philosophy, utilising ingredients grown on its 9-hectare farm in Banswara, Rajasthan. “Our Farm to Face concept came into being in 2021 by establishing this farm, where we grow over 1,200 trees and cultivate more than 100 kilograms of herbs organically,” shares Ms. Natasha Tuli, Co-Founder & CEO of Soulflower. This initiative supports the production of natural skincare and personal care products while empowering local tribal communities with training in sustainable farming practices.

The brand’s dedication to transparency is evident in its product labelling. The brand lists all ingredients clearly — no hidden or confusing names. Soulflower is a PETA-approved brand. Hence, it ensures its products are free from ingredients derived from animals and are never tested on animals. Additionally, the brand incorporates innovative, eco-friendly packaging methods to minimise its environmental impact.

“This is a remarkable achievement considering that our cultivation is almost entirely driven by local farmers, and ingredients are harvested in small batches to ensure maximum potency and efficacy in each of our products,” adds Ms. Tuli. The brand’s efforts extend beyond product excellence. Soulflower provides vocational training and employment opportunities to women, artisans, and craftsmen. Hence, enabling financial independence and fostering community growth.

As India’s first Farm to Face beauty brand, Soulflower continues to revolutionise clean beauty. It continues to offer transparent, sustainable, and cruelty-free solutions. “We integrate environmental sustainability into the brand’s ethos, ensuring that Soulflower’s footprint is as gentle on the earth as it is effective on hair and skin,” concludes Ms. Tuli.
