As the stars walk down the red carpet at the Oscars, hoping for an award to take back home, they surely bring their A game in fashion and beauty. Some are so awe-inspiring; you can’t stop admiring. Of course, we were glued to our screens, screening every stunning appearance at these awards. Vidhi Arya from Professional Beauty India highlights some of the best looks at Oscars 2025.

Ariana Grande

Ariana Grande truly looked like a princess in her pale pink Schiaparelli SS25 Couture gown. Did you know, her peplum gown has around 190,000 sequins and rhinestones? No wonder, she shone so bright! For her makeup, the Wicked star wore all shades of pink: a dusty pink eyeshadow, a mauve-pink lipstick and pink blush. Pairing her look with a slick-back bun, she exuded elegance; just like a royalty.

Cynthia Erivo

Erivo channelled her character from the movie ‘Wicket’ with perfection. And, the highlight of her look? Surely, her nails. Her nails were an admirable craftsmanship with numerous motifs, like a watch, a green rhinestone, and so much more. She wore a custom gown by Louis Vuitton with a lot of bounce, a huge bow around her shoulders and an equally grand collar. Complementing her bold attire and nails, she kept her makeup neutral with varied shades of nude and brown.

Selene Gomez

Selena Gomez sported an elegant custom Ralph Lauren gown. She paired the same with neutral makeup: a brown lip shade, muted pink eyeshadow and a bold eyeliner. Her elegance was elevated with her vintage-looking short bob with wavy hair – a classic you can’t go wrong with!

Lupita Nyong

How many pearls are too many? None, when you style them like Nyong. She was radiating a glow like none other in her pearly white Chanel gown that had over 22,000 pearls. The theme also continued for her hair, as she sported several pearl accessories in her low bun. Her makeup was dewy and was accentuated with a plum gloss and perfectly-highlighted eyebrow bones.

Margaret Qualley

Margaret Qualley’s look was classic; very Chanel as she wore a gown from the Parisian house. Her hair took the centre stage as she donned a bow-inspired high bun, which seemed like a true work of art. Her makeup, on the other hand, was equally muted. A light blush, a pink lip tint, and classic eyeliner were good enough for her!

Emma Stone

Emma Stone rocks her pixie hair cut and in so many ways! For this night, she wore a hairstyle inspired by the 1920s. With finger waves and a wet-look, she showed us yet another classic and elegant way to style a pixie cut. Her makeup was radiant as ever, glowing with neutral shades. As for her attire, she wore a custom Louis Vuitton gown.

Yasmin Finney

One of the best looks at Oscars list, Yasmin Finney’s makeup, hair, and outfit – all gathered a lot of attention. She wore a sleek black gown by Harris Reed, adorned with elaborate feathers. She wore sheer black gloves to complete the look. Her hair was tied back in a bun, with braids at the crown. A bold smoky eye, sharp eyebrows, and a nude lip completed her look.
