Diving into the Wellness Influencer Culture with Ishita Mangal

Paving a way in social media as influence can be challenging. With original ideas and engaging concepts, Ishita Mangal has achieved the impossible. In a candid conversation with Gauri D, she spills beans on her journey as an influencer and what it takes to become an influencer.

The influencer world is highly competitive. It takes original ideas, engaging and out of the box content to make a mark. Ishita Mangal, a fashion and beauty influencer with about 366K followers on Instagram is making a mark.

Here’s what this bold, unconventional beauty influencer had to say about her work and more.

What are the challenges you face while creating new content?

I love mixing beauty, fashion, and comedy. It’s my content jam! But whoa, in this short attention span world, it’s a challenge. Balancing info and laughs is like juggling flamingos. But I dive into the content whirlwind with humour, aiming to conquer 60 seconds!

How do you deal with negative comments?

The key is to remain unaffected by either the negatives or the positives. You must establish that necessary distance from this realm. I disengage from my work, and that’s perfectly acceptable. It sustains my creative spirit and keeps my mind refreshed.

How do you keep your objective in focus, not follow the trend but create one?

Authenticity reigns supreme on virtual platforms. When you showcase things you sincerely adore, incorporate techniques you genuinely employ. Your unique manner distinguishes you.

What is one piece of advice or information that you would want to give your viewers and followers?

As creators, I think we are innately creative individuals. Sometimes, we produce content for ourselves, to appease our inner artists. It’s okay if not every piece of content can meet all of the audience’s expectations.

What inspires you to keep going even in times of a creative block?

Discovering a pattern or a consistent format in the content creation approach helps in this endeavour. The frequency of blocks and burnouts can be reduced by constructing a structure.

How much effort goes into creating reels?

There’s a substantial amount of preparation that goes into it. It involves finding a fitting topic and organizing the styling elements. Then there is scripting, props, location and lighting. Filming and editing give life to the video everyone sees. I genuinely relish the entire process.

What attracts you to this industry?

I adore the diversity that everyone brings. Engaging with creators and agencies is a real joy. We’re all in the same industry, yet each person has a distinct approach. It’s a thrilling and exhilarating experience.

If you were to change something in the beauty and fashion industry, what would it be?

I’ve noticed that only a handful of brands are open to experimentation. This field is highly creative, and the audience applauds innovation. I do wish they had a better grasp of the audience’s preferences, allowing them to step out of their comfort zone.
