What are the elements you take care of while creating a fashionable hair look?
Every look I create has to be aesthetic & elegant fashion per se. It’s not that one size fits all here as every face is different, and every hair is different. Another mantra that I thoroughly follow is KISS- ‘Keep It Simple & Sassy’. I make sure in the urge for creativity I do not complicate things, it should be easy to carry.
Recently, Ikonic Professional created mesmerising looks at the Indian Beach Fashion Week 2023. Can you tell us about three of your favourite looks from the event and why?
Sure, associating with India beach fashion week was an amazing experience. Fashion starts with hair and we are in the business of creating fashion for hair. Frankly speaking, all the looks created were very special to us. But below are the three looks which I would like to talk about:
- Sleek Gelled look for Gavin Miguel:
The look for Gavin Miguel was sleek gelled back hair with a thick coat of black glitter on top. This looked very high fashion on the ramp, especially with the kinda outfits the models wore!
This look compliments well with his collection motto, ‘Strength of a woman’. This collection resonates with women, past, present and future. He uses the colour palette boldly without inhibition, while fine detailing and craftsmanship continue to rule as the signature style.
- Avant-garde Look for Ken Ferns:
The 2nd most interesting look was that we created for Ken ferns. His collection was ‘Reverie’, a cluster of thoughts blooming out of his vivid imagination of a world that co-exists. The Reverie show was a neon vibe dramatic event.
As a result, we made all the models wear fancy shouting out-loud color wigs like electric blue & candy pink. All of these cut were in the Bob pattern with a fringe, absolutely avant-garde.
- Sophisticated & Classic Look For Isha Khanna:
Isha’s collection Amaltass was a modern and classy collection with a ting of desi touch. The collection was all about bright yellows, greens, pinks, and purples that brought the tropical Eden to the runway.
Hence, we decided to go for sleek, straight ironed hair using my favorite S3+ by Ikonic. We tucked all the hair back behind the ear, this looked very sophisticated & classic!
