Streax Professional and OMG Face of the Year conclude a high-impact celebration of hairstyling talent, judged by industry stalwarts and supported by Professional Beauty Hairdressers Journal India.
The grand finale of Streax Professional Hairstyle Icon 2025 in association with OMG Face of the Year (FOTY), concluded in Mumbai with a dynamic celebration of India’s hairdressing community. With Professional Beauty Hairdressers Journal India as the official trade media partner, the evening marked a significant moment for hairstyling professionals from across the country.
This year’s edition featured a nationwide hunt that invited hairstylists to showcase their skills and creativity. After multiple knockout rounds, grooming sessions, and regional selections, the competition narrowed down to 10 top finalists who competed in the finale held on July 31st.
Winners of Hairstyle Icon 2025:
Winner: Priyanka Sinha, Hooghly – West Bengal
1st Runner-up: Bhaskar Jyoti, Guwahati – Assam
2nd Runner-up: Durmit Garge, Vadodara – Gujarat
The winner received ₹3 lakhs, along with the opportunity to take part in expert-led workshops and a celebrity photoshoot with photographer Dabboo Ratnani. The first and second runners-up received ₹75,000 and ₹25,000, respectively.
The finale was judged by a panel that included Rochelle Chhabra, Head of Streax Professional; Shirin Merchant, Technical Ambassador; Kannagi Desai, Beauty Editor, Elle India; Sini Shetty, Femina Miss India 2022; and Rohit Khandelwal, Mister World 2016. Finalists presented their mood boards and executed live hairstyle transformations on models, followed by a runway showcase of their work.

To further showcase the journey of the finalists, the competition will be released as a six-part web series on Hungama OTT in September 2025. The series will offer behind-the-scenes moments, expert mentoring, and finalist evolution, offering deeper insight into the world of hairstyle professionals.
