Huda Kattan has taken the leadership role at Huda Beauty once again as she steps in as the CEO.
Huda Kattan, the founder of Huda Beauty, stepped down from the helm of the beauty brand in 2020. She has now confirmed her return to Huda Beauty as CEO.
In one of her videos on social media, Kattan revealed, “Today, what I want to share with you guys is the mistake that I made that almost killed our company.” It has been one of the biggest regrets of my life. I am finally taking back my power as CEO of Huda Beauty.” She also posted a detailed video on her YouTube channel to announce the news to fans and followers worldwide. This video likely provides insights into her decision and her vision for the future of Huda Beauty.
She further added, “I felt at the moment that it was wrong but I felt that I didn’t know better and that I should listen to people outside even though the voices in my head said ‘trust yourself, listen to yourself.’ I shut them down and I was like no don’t listen to myself actually, listen to the people around you. Which is crazy to me now because listening to myself is what helped me build my business.”
Kattan also shared that by the end of 2024, Huda Beauty will rebrand itself, with a new logo and product packaging and that some products from the current catalogue will be discontinued as she no longer “feels a connection with” them, including the GloWish line. Kattan had stepped down as the CEO because she wanted to remain focussed on product development. She wanted to ‘create a product from the perspective of the consumer’. As the CEO, she had to oversee operations, finances and logistics, leaving her with barely any time for product development. She had appointed Nathalie Kristo as the new CEO, while she remained as the Founder and Chairwoman.
