Hyeglo Raises Rs 7 Crore to Expand Makeup and Skincare Portfolio

Indian beauty startup Hyeglo Beauty has raised Rs 7 crore in a seed funding round led by Sauce. The round also saw participation from Giga Capital, Consumer Collective, Arjun Purkayastha, SVP and MD, Greater China and North Asia at Reckitt, and The Patient Capital.

Founded in April 2026, Hyeglo operates in the emerging ‘skinified beauty’ category, bringing together makeup and skincare through formulations that combine cosmetic performance with skincare benefits.

Where Will the Funding Go?

The fresh capital will support the company’s expansion across colour cosmetics and skincare. Its key investment priorities include:

  • Research and development: Strengthening formulation capabilities and product development.
  • Product innovation: Expanding its makeup and skincare portfolio with new launches.
  • Strategic hiring: Building the team to support its growth and operations.
  • Brand building: Increasing market presence and establishing the brand among Indian beauty consumers.

Building on Industry Experience

Hyeglo was founded by Kanupriya Ahluwalia, who brings nine years of experience in the beauty industry across India and the Middle East.

Her previous professional associations include:

  • Nykaa
  • Kay Beauty
  • Noon
  • Namshi

Commenting on the funding, Ahluwalia, Founder and CEO, Hyeglo Beauty, said, “Indian women have been asked to choose between makeup that performs and products that are actually good for their skin. We don’t think that trade-off should exist. We started with makeup because that’s where the gap was widest, but our ambition is to define skinified beauty in India, from colour to care. This round lets us double down on R&D and take the category mainstream.”

Investor Confidence in Skinified Beauty

Yash Dholakia, Partner, Sauce, highlighted how increasingly discerning Indian consumers are shaping expectations across the beauty industry, particularly when it comes to skincare.

He noted that Hyeglo’s focus on formulation depth, combined with Ahluwalia’s experience in building beauty brands across two markets, gives the company an opportunity to tap into this evolving demand.

With the latest funding, Hyeglo aims to strengthen its product development capabilities, expand its portfolio and establish a stronger presence in India’s growing beauty and personal care market.
