KT hosted the Indian Hair & Beauty Conference (IHBC) on 6 October 2026 at the Jaipur Exhibition & Convention Centre (JECC). Organised in association with the Hair & Beauty Federation (HBF) and led by Dhruv Sayani, Managing Director & CEO of KT, the event brought the industry together on a national stage.
It drew more than 5,000 salon owners from 18 states and over 50 cities. Organisers called it a historic first for a KT-led salon conference of this scale in India.
High-Profile Presence Lends Weight to the Industry
The Hon’ble Governor of Rajasthan, Shri Haribhau Bagde ji, inaugurated the conference. Smt. Diya Kumari ji, Hon’ble Deputy Chief Minister of Rajasthan, joined as chief guest for the evening. Their presence gave the salon fraternity significant recognition and highlighted the role of Indian beauty enterprises in entrepreneurship, employment, and economic growth.
A Common Platform for the Salon Community
The strong turnout showed how much the industry wants a shared forum that links professional education, business aspirations, and representation. By bringing salon owners from across the country together, KT and HBF created space to discuss common challenges, exchange knowledge, and build a stronger collective voice.
Government Leaders Back Indian Enterprise and Skills
In his address, the Governor stressed the importance of Indian enterprise, professional skills, and the confidence of homegrown brands to compete globally. Reflecting the themes of Make in India and Vocal for Local, he welcomed the coming together of the salon community and called for an Indian beauty and personal-care ecosystem with international ambition.
The Deputy Chief Minister spoke about the sector’s contribution to livelihoods, entrepreneurship, and professional opportunity. She highlighted the importance of skills, women’s participation, and the growth of Indian businesses, and she praised a platform that unites thousands of salon professionals around a shared development agenda.
Dhruv Sayani: Unity Must Lead to Sustained Cooperation
Sayani described IHBC as a historic landmark for salon unity. He also called it a defining opportunity to strengthen the bond between Indian professional brands and the businesses that serve consumers every day. In his view, the federation’s coming together at this scale should lead to lasting cooperation, stronger salon businesses, and greater confidence in high-quality Indian professional haircare.
He urged the salon fraternity to back Indian products and support Indian brands, including KT. He also shared his vision of KT entering salons across India through a partnership built on professional quality, education, and mutual growth. The goal, he said, is a stronger salon ecosystem where brand growth and salon success reinforce each other.
Putting Indian Products on Global Shelves
Linking his vision to the Prime Minister’s call for Make in India and Vocal for Local, Sayani said Indian products deserve a place on global shelves. Supporting capable Indian brands in domestic salons, he explained, can build the foundation for international expansion, encourage value creation within India, and strengthen the economy. He also asked for greater awareness of government schemes and skill-development opportunities available to salon entrepreneurs and professionals.
More Than a Headcount
The conference mattered for more than its attendance. It brought geographically scattered salon businesses into one national conversation, tied industry unity to practical business goals, and placed Indian professional haircare at the centre of the discussion. For KT, it marked an important step in deepening its relationship with the salon fraternity. For salon owners, it offered a place to learn, connect, and share a collective vision for growth.
Professional education, industry dialogue, and knowledge exchange kept the focus on progress. Participation from 18 states and more than 50 cities showed both the breadth of the response and the potential for collaboration across regional markets.
The Way Forward
KT called the conference a major success and a base for continued engagement with salon owners. With HBF bringing the community together and KT supporting the platform, IHBC sent a clear message: salon unity, support for Indian innovation, and professional business growth can move forward together. The Jaipur gathering pointed toward an industry that wants a stronger voice at home and wider recognition for Indian beauty brands worldwide.
