#ProbeautyIndia – A Spectacular Beauty Show

19,928 beauty professionals and enthusiasts walked into Professional Beauty India’s 24th exhibition in Mumbai to check out beauty trends and do business networking. Priyanka Parshurami gives you a quick glimpse into the success story that is #ProbeautyIndia Mumbai.

The latest edition of Professional Beauty India, Mumbai, held at Hall 3 at Bombay Exhibition Centre, on 2nd-3rd October 2023 concluded with a triumph. 

This global show with an Indian heart recorded a whopping 19,928 number of visitors. They hailed from many cities like Pune, Nasik, Akola, Nanded, Aurangabad and Kolhapur within Maharashtra, as well as other states such as Gujarat, Goa and many more. The event also hosted a few international buyers from Bangladesh and the officials of the Thai Trade Commission. 

The visitor profiles included beauty professionals across hair, skin, make-up, nails and wellness as well as distributors, salon owners, salon managers and students.

The show is seen as a meeting ground for the hair and beauty professionals from across the country. It not only presents a great networking opportunity for beauty professionals but also showcases the fast-changing beauty trends. 

Spread across 12,000 sq mtr, the event witnessed over 300+ exhibiting brands across the verticals of hair, skin, make-up, spa and nails as well as salon tools, accessories and furniture under one roof. Post pandemic, this was the first #probeautyIndia exhibition which witnessed the participation of international brands from Malaysia, Italy, UAE and Germany. This has cemented Professional Beauty India’s position as the key meeting place for Indian and global hair and beauty brands.

Here are a few highlights from the Mega Celebration of Beauty and Hair:

New Product Launches

The event provided a platform for brands to launch their new product ranges for the beauty industry in western India. The event witnessed new product launches like Denman Professional by Ikonic Professional, Phyto Ativo by Berina Professional, vegan brand Anara and many more. 

Live Demo Stages

The showstopper live demo stages of #probeautyindia, which are a hub of learning, were in fact booming with knowledge. 

‘HJ Stage’ focused on hair sessions and included international artists like JJ Savani, VIN, KIP, Paulo Araujo, Jordan Tabakman along with Indian sensations like Savio John Periera, Elton Steve Vessoaker, Gourav Bhardwaj, Vipul Chudasama and many others. Professional Beauty India also witnessed a session by Bony Sasidharan for the very first time. 

The ‘Beauty Stage’ focused on sessions on skin, make-up and nails. It had an amazing session on 4k Beauty Makeup and Inspirations of West by International Artist Rosie Barrett, Lip Lighting session by Raman Chohan from UK, trending nail art session by Katia Raykova and many more.

Felicitation of Partners

Professional Beauty India strongly believes that teamwork makes the dream work. On the occasion of delivering one of its most successful shows, the Professional Beauty India team took pride in felicitating influencers and partners, who helped deliver a beautiful experience at one of the flagship shows. 

Moreover, the buyers certainly made the most of the sourcing and networking opportunities at #probeautyindia Mumbai. They were seen flooding across the exhibitor counters for queries and bookings. They also made the most out of exclusive offers and learning from and interacting with beauty and hair experts.

Salon Management Congress

With the visitor footfall completely taking over the red-carpeted exhibitor space. The Salon Management Conference was house-full with salon owners and managers engaged in intriguing business discussions.

Setting the perfect tone for the conference, Vikas Vij, Managing Director of Professional Beauty India, said in his welcome address, “Running a salon is no small feat, whether you operate a parlor in a small town or a chain across many metros. The challenges are similar in terms of running a business. Over the next two days, this conference will address various challenges. Including finding and nurturing talent, transitioning from a hairdresser or therapist to a business owner. An entrepreneur, connecting and engaging with a more digitally savvy customer base. Scaling up, and exploring the pros and cons of franchising. We encourage attendees not only to listen to our expert panel. But also to question them about their journey to success. The obstacles they had to overcome, and the advice they can offer, as every salon owner strives for success too.”The

Salon Management Conference witnessed insights from prominent figures in the salon industry, including Samir Srivastava, CEO of LOOKS Salon; Savio John Pereira, Owner of Savio John Pereira Salons; Kapil Sharma, Founder of Kapil’s Salon & Academy; Cherag Bambboat, Founder of Magical Makeovers; JJ Savani, Owner of JJ Savani Studio; Sneh Koticha, Director of Jean Claude Biguine India; and Vaijanti Bhalchandra, Co-Founder of YLG Salons, among several others.

British Hairdressing Awards 2023 Gallery

British Hairdressing Awards, the Oscars of the hairdressing industry, is the dream competition for hairdressers across the globe. This year for the first time three Indian hairdressers participated in the International Category of the awards. Likes of Seema V Jerajani, Savio John Periers and Deveyani Deshmukh.

Professional Beauty India Mumbai exhibited the BHA’s gallery to get more nominations from India going forward. It is one small step in our journey. Of connecting Indian hairdressers to the world and for the world to see the talent that is in India.
