Multi-hyphenate entrepreneur Rajshree Pathy has launched a new, holistic beauty brand in India: Qi Ayurveda. Qi brings together centuries-old Ayurvedic traditions with cutting-edge scientific research from Switzerland. The formulations work at a cellular level to transform, restore, rejuvenate, and replenish your skin.
The brand takes inspiration from the vital energy, ‘Qi’, also identified with PRANA in Sanskrit. It is the vital life force flowing in each of us that unites our body, mind and spirit. Combining ancient Ayurvedic wisdom with advanced Swiss innovation, Qi Ayurveda presents highly potent and radically transformative formulations for skin and hair. Capturing the purity of naturally derived ingredients, the botanical extracts hold delicate fragrances and offer a rejuvenating experience.
Qi Ayurveda is a planet-positive brand that produces products from certified, naturally derived, responsibly sourced ingredients. The products are all free from parabens, phthalates or sulphates. While the brand does not test its products on animals, they are all proven clinically safe. Furthermore, the packaging is made out of entirely recyclable and biodegradable materials.
The Product Range
In the first phase of its launch, Qi Ayurveda has unveiled four hair care ranges. These targeted ranges boast plant-based and science-backed blends. These work synergetically to transform, rejuvenate, restore, and replenish the hair at a cellular level. The four ranges are:

Rajshree Pathy: Founder of Qi Ayurveda
With a deep understanding of Ayurvedic principles, the power of natural ingredients, and the importance of the balance of qi in mind, body, and soul, Rajshree wanted to take Ayurveda to the user of today. The aim behind Qi is to make centuries-old Ayurvedic traditions relevant in today’s modern living. Coming from a family where Ayurveda was a way of life, Pathy holds a deep-rooted respect and understanding towards the ancient science. “I remember visiting the ‘vaid’ with my mother as a little girl. Sundays in our home were spent with hot oil massages and herbal baths of steeped eucalyptus leaves and vetiver roots, heated over firewood in old copper vessels. The power of herbs and plants combined with the ritualistic nature of these practices became my definition of wellness,” she adds.
Rajshree is a Harvard Business School alumna and has received multiple awards during her career. She started her career with her family’s textile business. Currently, she is the Chairperson of Rajshree Sugars & Chemicals Limited. Furthermore, she is the founder of the India Design Forum – IDF, Co-Founder of Kama Ayurveda, and Mentor of Yourskinlab Pte Ltd.
