Gurugram, September 25, 2026: Esskay Beauty Resources and Spanish professional skincare brand Casmara have concluded the second edition of Skinomics 2.0.
The two-day event brought together 250+ salon leaders from 78 cities across India. It combined business conversations, professional education, technical learning and skincare innovation.
Two Days of Business and Hands-On Learning
The main Skinomics 2.0 conclave took place on September 23 at Hyatt Regency, Gurugram. Salon owners, beauty entrepreneurs, industry leaders and skincare professionals gathered to examine the changing business of professional skincare.
The experience continued on September 24 with an exclusive Casmara Experience Day. The Casmara team from Spain led business discussions, technical sessions, product demonstrations and hands-on experiences.
“Rethink Skin. Reimagine Business”
The event was built around the thought “Rethink Skin. Reimagine Business.” Instead of treating facials as individual services, Skinomics 2.0 presented skin as a potential growth engine for salons.
The name itself reflects this idea. Skinomics combines skin and economics, pairing professional skin expertise with the commercial systems needed to build a sustainable skin business. As a result, the sessions explored how salons can move beyond one-time services. They looked at structured consultations, treatment programmes, premium experiences, home-care recommendations, education and long-term client relationships.
The conversations also covered key challenges in the category. These included changing consumer expectations, treatment adoption, client retention and premiumisation. In addition, speakers discussed how to turn one-time skin-service customers into long-term skin clients.
From Selling Facials to Building a Skin Business
The central theme was simple: salons need to rethink how they approach skin. Rather than viewing a facial as an isolated service, the discussions focused on a connected model. That model links consultation, treatment journeys, professional expertise, client education, home care and retention.
Panel discussions such as “The Changing Skin Landscape” and “The Growth P&L of Skin” brought diverse voices from the professional beauty ecosystem. Speakers noted that greater skincare awareness and rising demand for results-driven treatments are creating new opportunities for salons.
The panel featured:
- Ankit Virmani and Subham Virmani, Directors, Esskay Beauty Resources
- Kenza Bourezgui, Casmara
- Kapil Sharma, Chairman and Managing Director, Kapils Salon India Ltd
- Dr. Pooja Mittal, Founder, PM Aesthetics
- Meenakshi Tuteja, Director and Owner, Meenakshi Beauty and Academy
Ankit Virmani said the opportunity in skin goes well beyond selling more facials. According to him, the real opportunity lies in helping salons build a structured business, from consultation and treatment programmes to home care and lasting client relationships. He added that Skinomics was created to bring this business conversation to the forefront.
Casmara Unveils New Professional Solutions
Casmara also introduced new professional skincare innovations, exclusively for the Indian salon community. The launches included:
- Casmara Expert DermaPeels, a professional peel system
- Rose Gold Mask, a new algae peel-off mask
- White Gold Mask, a second new algae peel-off mask
Together, these products expand Casmara’s offering across skin renewal, advanced treatment protocols and post-treatment care.
The Rose Gold Mask is a rejuvenating mask with a “Heat Retention Effect.” It is formulated with gold, collagen and elastin. The White Gold Mask offers an “Ice Effect” and contains 24K gold, arnica and bisabolol. It is designed to support skin recovery after aesthetic procedures.
The Casmara team from Spain also led technical demonstrations and education sessions. Salon professionals learned about the technologies, protocols and applications behind the new products. Later, the Experience Day on September 24 extended this learning through expert-led sessions and product demonstrations.
Kenza Bourezgui of Casmara called India an exciting and important market for the brand. She said the partnership with Esskay Beauty has built a strong understanding of the country’s professional beauty landscape. She also stressed that innovation matters most when it translates into effective treatments and better experiences for consumers.
18 Years of Esskay and Casmara in India
Skinomics 2.0 also marked 18 years of the partnership between Esskay Beauty Resources and Casmara. Over this time, the two companies have brought international skincare innovation, technology and education to the Indian salon industry. The partnership has evolved with the changing needs of professional beauty businesses.
Subham Virmani said the partnership has always been about more than importing products. In his view, it is about bringing global expertise, technology and education to an evolving industry. He added that Skinomics 2.0 takes this further by joining the business and technical sides of skincare. Therefore, professionals can see not only what they can offer, but also how to build a stronger skin business around it.
A Platform for the Future of Professional Skincare
The second edition builds on a larger vision. Esskay wants to create a platform where industry knowledge, professional education, global innovation and salon business strategy meet. By bringing salon leaders, experts and international professionals together, Skinomics 2.0 aimed to shift the conversation. It moved the focus from individual services to the bigger opportunity of a structured, sustainable skin business.
