Aurelin Lis, the Global CEO of Dermalogica, recently visited its leading partner in India, LOOKS Salon at Fort. The visit witnessed several insightful interactions that helped him learn more about the Indian consumer. The Global CEO of Dermalogica, Aurelin Lis was welcomed by the team at LOOKS Salon in Fort, Mumbai. This visit hosted resourceful interactions through which Aurelin delved deeper into the preferences of the cosmopolitan customer base in India. The visit also took place shortly after Ashwini Kondare, a beauty therapist from LOOKS won the title of Dermalogica ProSkin Master 2023. Her felicitation was a key highlight of the day.
In a conversation with Vidhi Arya from Professional Beauty India, Samir Srivastav, CEO, LOOKS, gave insights into how the day unfolded. He said, “Aurelin Lis interacted with our therapists, and reviewed and discussed the Dermalogica rooms, merchandising, and product display. Aurelin also engaged with our beauticians to learn more about consumer behaviour in India. He discussed the home care products, popular facials, popular price points, how much customers buy, etc.”

Speaking of the road map ahead, Samir said, “During the interactions, we have decided to launch men’s facials. We will most likely launch it within a month or so. With Dermalogica, we will create a specialised 20-minute clean-up for men that will be done in barber chairs. Only selected barbers from LOOKS will be doing these facials.”
The partnership between LOOKS and Dermalogica is a testament to their commitment to ensuring quality and customer satisfaction. In view of the same, Samir mentioned “Gayla Dutta, the Director of Beauty Training, LOOKS from the head office in Delhi and the education team of Dermalogica are going to create a complete calendar for the next six months. This will entail an in-depth training schedule for all the 1000 beauticians working at LOOKS Salons. We will intensively invest in education and training, as it is the most important aspect of a business in terms of profitability and customer satisfaction. Especially, as far as LOOKS and Dermalogica partnership is concerned.”
