Mamaearth’s co-founder Ghazal Alagh unveils Luminéve, a premium skincare brand centered on the science of “skin sleep,” offering night-focused, restorative products that blend dermatology, mindfulness, and self-care through science-backed innovation.
Ghazal Alagh, co-founder of the popular Indian beauty brand Mamaearth, has launched her new premium skincare venture called Luminéve. Built on the concept of “skin sleep,” the brand focuses on night-time skincare and aims to redefine beauty as relaxation, rest, and self-care.
Luminéve made its debut in collaboration with NykaaLand, the experiential beauty platform by Nykaa. This partnership allows the brand to enter the market in a luxe-yet-accessible way, connecting directly with beauty enthusiasts who value mindful self-care.
A new take on skincare
While most skincare routines focus on daytime protection, Luminéve highlights the importance of the night. This is when the skin naturally repairs and renews itself. The brand centres around the belief that skin’s recovery process peaks during sleep, and products should support that process.
With its midnight blue tones and moonlit-inspired packaging, Luminéve captures the calm and tranquility of the night. Every element, from texture to scent, aims to evoke relaxation and help users unwind after a long day.
Science of “skin sleep”
Luminéve’s formulas are based on dermatological research showing that the skin’s cell renewal and repair functions are most active overnight. The products aim to enhance this process, helping the skin recover and look refreshed by morning.
The range includes night moisturisers for six different skin types and overnight serums. The products feature active ingredients like Vitamin C, Niacinamide, Retinol, and Salicylic Acid. These products use liposomal technology for deeper ingredient delivery and include the brand’s Advanced NightRenew Complex, which combines collagen, peptides, niacinamide, polyglutamic acid, and botanical extracts for time-release repair.
A new chapter for Ghazal Alagh
Ghazal Alagh has built her reputation by creating beauty brands that aim to resonate with modern consumers. With Luminéve, she moves into a more emotional space—connecting skincare with rest, mood, and mindfulness.
As Luminéve grows, it aims to expand its direct-to-consumer presence, reach global markets, and continue shaping how Indian beauty brands are viewed—through innovation, authenticity, and purpose.
