The Platform on Day 1 of Professional Beauty India (PBI) Delhi 2026 turned the spotlight on independent makeup artists. Specifically, it offered a freelancer-led showcase that ran parallel to the brand-sponsored stages elsewhere at the venue. Designated as Beauty Day, the stage brought together a diverse lineup of looks. These ranged from carnival-inspired bridal concepts to rhinestone glam, plus an important session on inclusive beauty.

Bridal Concepts and Carnival Glam

The day’s programme opened with Pooja Madaan. Her Modern Signature Look session set the tone for the day’s exploration of contemporary makeup artistry, balancing clean technique with personal styling choices.

Next, Kaveri Singh followed with her Carnival Bride concept. She brought vibrant colour and festival-inspired creativity to traditional bridal makeup. Then, Eshita Gambhir closed out the pre-lunch lineup with a Rhinestone Showstopper Glam session, layering embellishment and shimmer for a bold, statement-making finish.

Inclusive Beauty and Festive Looks

After the lunch break, Mahima Bajaj presented one of the day’s most significant sessions, Makeup on Vitiligo Skin. The session addressed techniques and considerations specific to vitiligo-affected skin, marking a welcome and necessary inclusion on a major industry stage.

Following that, Yashika Sehgal shifted the mood with a Cocktail Makeup session, geared toward festive, evening-ready glam. Finally, Bhawna Singh closed the makeup segment with a Bollywood Bridal look, drawing on classic Indian bridal aesthetics with a modern finish.

Closing With Barbering

The day’s final session moved away from makeup entirely. Instead, Prathamesh Sawant and Joel presented a Premium Barbershop Experience, offering attendees a look into high-end grooming services and the client experience side of modern barbering.

Day 1 Highlights

  • Independent artists showcasing personal signature styles outside brand sponsorship
  • Bridal and festive makeup looks spanning carnival, cocktail, and Bollywood themes
  • A dedicated session on makeup techniques for vitiligo skin
  • A shift toward grooming and barbershop experience to close the day

Overall, The Platform’s opening day at Professional Beauty India Delhi 2026 balanced bridal tradition, bold creative concepts, and a meaningful step toward inclusive beauty education. As a result, the stage set a strong tone heading into Day 2’s shift toward hair and barbering artistry.
