April 22 is celebrated as Earth Day every year. It’s an important day as it aims to raise awareness about environmental issues and encourage action to protect our planet. This year, too, the world honoured Mother Earth and took many steps to help it heal and grow. Aveda was not far behind. Read along to know more about the brand’s initiative.
In celebration of Earth Day 2025, Aveda reaffirmed its commitment to sustainability and compassion with a purpose-driven initiative aimed at giving back to both the planet and the animal kingdom.
The initiative by Aveda at Friendlicoes
This year, Aveda undertook a tree plantation drive, planting 100 native trees at Friendicoes SECA, an animal habitat shelter in Village Gopalpur, Gurugram. The shelter is a safe haven for rescued animals, including cows, dogs, cats, and other abandoned or injured creatures. It is entirely donation-funded and dedicated to the welfare, care, and rehabilitation of animals in need.
As part of the initiative, Aveda also provided wholesome, nutritious meals to the shelter’s animals for the entire day. It not only helped to ensure the animals’ well-being but also reinforced the brand’s broader commitment to environmental and animal welfare.
The brand organised the Earth Day event in collaboration with the Shikhar Dhawan Foundation. The foundation’s philanthropic vision and support have enabled initiatives focused on grassroots impact and holistic well-being.
