Balmain Launches Balmain Beauty With a Fragrance Collection

Balmain has launched the Balmain Beauty line with its first beauty creation. The debut features a new fragrance collection called Les Éternels

Balmain has unveiled its first beauty creation, “Les Éternels de Balmain,” a collection of eight all-gender eaux de parfum. This fragrance line draws inspiration from founder, Pierre Balmain’s Parisian heritage and Creative Director, Olivier Rousteing’s contemporary influence on fashion and beauty.

The collection is a tribute to Balmain’s original flacon from 1946, a design celebrated for its simplicity and timeless appeal. The design’s duality is showcased through the interplay of circular and square elements, the iconic black and gold colour scheme, and a label that spans two surfaces.

Guillaume Jesel, President and CEO, Tom Ford and Luxury Business Development, The Estée Lauder Companies, said, “Balmain Beauty is forging a new, avant-garde space in luxury beauty that celebrates the legacy and inclusive spirit of the iconic house of Balmain. Creative Director, Olivier Rousteing is one of the most accomplished designers of his generation, inventing revolutionary concepts at the confluence of past, present, and future. It has been an extraordinary journey bringing his vision for Balmain Beauty to life.”

The Packaging

The new bottle’s flacon offers a luxurious and modern multisensory experience, with the square form extended into a lozenge shape. The brand’s signature grooves on the glass mirror the textured gold collar. Additionally, the colour palette enhances both the visual and tactile experience.

A graphic PB monogram on the cap, derived from the brand’s iconic 1970 labyrinth motif, symbolises Balmain. Furthermore, the bottles are refillable in nature.

The Collection

This debut collection includes eight multi-layered scents. These are from four different olfactive families – Musk, Amber, Floral, and Woody.

  • Carbone: musk/ rose.
  • Sel d’Ambre: amber/ ambergris.
  • Vent Vert: vert de mandarine/ jasmine.
  • Rouge: bouquet/ woods.
  • Ivoire: tubéreuse de nuit/ vetiver.
  • Bronze: cedarwoods/ patchouli.
  • Ébène: ebony wood/ myrrh oil).
  • Bleu Infini: cistus absolute/ lichen.

Nathalie Berger Duquene, SVP, Global General Manager, Balmain Beauty, The Estée Lauder Companies, said, “Balmain Beauty embodies a steadfast commitment to excellence in perfumery, emphasizing not only the olfactive experience, but also the evocative emotions it elicits brought to life by an iconic visual campaign. The beauty of craftsmanship is exuded in both the packaging design and ingredients used. Our fragrances hold tension, power, and strength – they are quintessentially Balmain, rooted in diversity and inclusivity.”
