TONI&GUY India recently welcomed the globally renowned Bill Watson, International Education Director at TONI&GUY, for an exclusive advanced masterclass at its flagship academy in Delhi.
Bill Watson, a celebrated name in the world of professional hairdressing, returned to the GK-2 Academy. His visit marked a significant moment in TONI&GUY India’s ongoing pursuit of delivering premium hair education aligned with global standards.
During the masterclass, Watson conducted an intensive training session for stylists, educators, and students from across North India. The focus was on cutting-edge hairdressing techniques, precision haircutting, creative styling, and the evolving trends shaping the international salon industry.
As International Education Director, Watson has overseen TONI&GUY’s education strategy across the UK, Asia, and the Southern Hemisphere. With decades of experience under his belt and a legacy of mentoring thousands of professionals, Watson brought a distinctive mix of technical brilliance and international perspective to the Delhi academy.
The key learnings at the masterclass
A major feature of the session was an in-depth exploration of the House of TONI&GUY collection. It’s the brand’s annual creative vision that guides salons worldwide. Famed for its bold aesthetics, innovative techniques, and high-fashion orientation, the collection was showcased not just as inspiration but as a practical, client-centric styling guide. Watson emphasised how stylists can adapt these looks to suit everyday clientele, merging artistic flair with commercial relevance.
What truly set this training apart was its emphasis on transforming technical skills into meaningful client service. Stylists were coached on how to tailor consultations, understand individual preferences, and personalise styles to align with real-life needs. This helps create an elevated salon experience from start to finish.
Teamwork that shines
Supporting the masterclass were Vinod Kumar and Wasim Ahmed, Heads of Education at TONI&GUY New Delhi. Both have been instrumental in developing TONI&GUY’s technical training framework and mentoring emerging stylists across the region.
