Bodycraft secures ₹120 crore from Singularity AMC to expand its clinic-and-salon network and strengthen its leadership in India’s organised beauty and wellness sector.

India’s organised beauty and wellness sector has received a significant boost with Bodycraft Clinic and Salon announcing a ₹120 crore investment from Singularity AMC, marking a major milestone in the company’s expansion journey. The funding will enable the Bengaluru-headquartered brand to strengthen its footprint across India while investing in technology, talent and customer experience.

The investment comes at a time when demand for organised beauty, wellness and medical aesthetic services continues to rise, positioning Bodycraft for its next phase of growth.

Expansion Plans Across India

Bodycraft currently operates 67 premium clinics and salons across the country and plans to add 30 new locations using the fresh capital. Alongside geographical expansion, the company will invest in advanced clinical technologies, AI-driven operational efficiencies, upgraded equipment and enhanced customer experiences across its network.

The latest investment is expected to further strengthen Bodycraft’s integrated clinic-and-salon model, which combines premium salon services with advanced dermatology and medical aesthetic treatments under one roof.

A Nearly Three-Decade Journey

Founded by Manjul Gupta in 1997 with a single salon in Bengaluru, Bodycraft has evolved into one of India’s largest integrated beauty, wellness and medical aesthetics brands.

The business expanded further after Swati Gupta joined in the early 2000s, while Sahil Gupta, an IIT Kharagpur alumnus, came on board in 2011, driving significant growth and scaling the brand nationally. The company’s clinical division has been led by Dr Mikki Singh since 2015, strengthening Bodycraft’s position in advanced dermatology, facial aesthetics and skin and hair treatments.

Investing Beyond Expansion

According to Sahil Gupta, CEO, Bodycraft Clinics and Salons, the investment represents the beginning of a new growth chapter for the brand.

The company intends to accelerate expansion while simultaneously investing in infrastructure, technology and talent to build what it describes as India’s most trusted destination for beauty, wellness and medical aesthetic services.

Echoing this vision, Dr Mikki Singh, Founder and Medical Director, highlighted that the funding will enable Bodycraft to introduce cutting-edge clinical technologies, strengthen professional training and explore emerging areas such as longevity and regenerative therapies.

She added that the company’s focus remains on delivering outcome-driven treatments supported by advanced medical expertise and value for customers.

Why Singularity Invested

For Singularity AMC, the investment reflects confidence in Bodycraft’s differentiated business model.

Sandeep Bapat, Co-Chief Investment Officer, Singularity AMC, noted that the firm’s integrated clinic-and-salon approach has successfully scaled while maintaining customer trust. He believes the fresh capital will support Bodycraft’s expansion into additional Indian markets and strengthen its leadership position within the organised beauty sector.

Riding India’s Beauty Boom

The investment also underscores growing investor confidence in India’s rapidly expanding beauty and aesthetics market.

Industry estimates cited by the company project that the clinical aesthetics market could grow from approximately US$2 billion in 2024 to more than US$7 billion by 2033. Meanwhile, the broader beauty and personal care market is expected to increase from nearly US$27 billion in FY25 to around US$39 billion by FY30, driven by rising disposable incomes, increasing wellness spending and growing demand for specialised treatments.

Looking Ahead

With fresh capital, ambitious expansion plans and continued investments in AI, technology and clinical excellence, Bodycraft is positioning itself to capitalise on India’s booming organised beauty and wellness market. As consumer demand increasingly shifts towards integrated, experience-led beauty destinations, the company’s latest fundraise is expected to further strengthen its position as one of the country’s leading clinic-and-salon brands.
