The partnership will establish the CII Institute of Beauty & Wellness, offering globally benchmarked education, international certifications, and new career pathways across India’s fast-growing beauty industry.
The Confederation of Indian Industry (CII), through its Centre of Excellence on Skills, has announced a strategic partnership with Skillbulls Global to introduce internationally aligned Beauty & Wellness education programmes in India. As part of the collaboration, CII will launch the CII Institute of Beauty & Wellness, a dedicated platform aimed at strengthening India’s skilled workforce through industry-led education and globally benchmarked training.
Building a National Beauty & Wellness Skilling Ecosystem
Going beyond a conventional training initiative, the partnership seeks to create a comprehensive ecosystem that connects education with industry requirements and international standards.
The initiative will include:
- Establishment of COCO (Company Owned, Company Operated) centres under the CII Institute of Beauty & Wellness.
- Development of a nationwide network of accredited academies, training partners, and universities.
- An industry-led accreditation and affiliation framework to maintain consistent education standards.
- Globally aligned curricula backed by international quality assurance and best practices.
- Strong industry collaboration to keep programmes aligned with evolving market needs.
International Programmes Across Multiple Beauty Verticals
The collaboration will introduce internationally benchmarked programmes designed to prepare learners for both employment and entrepreneurship opportunities in India and overseas.
Training will span multiple Beauty & Wellness disciplines, including hair, skin, nails, beauty, brows and lashes, spa, aesthetic cosmetology, and other emerging beauty and wellness specialisations. The programmes will be developed in collaboration with leading international education, awarding, and certification bodies, giving learners access to globally recognised qualifications.
A Practical, Industry-Ready Learning Model
Rather than focusing solely on technical education, the programmes have been designed to prepare professionals for real-world careers.
Learners can expect:
- Hands-on practical training
- Experiential learning
- Industry immersion
- Workplace simulations
- Expert-led instruction
- Contemporary global techniques
- Customer experience training
- Professional etiquette
- Business acumen
- Entrepreneurial development
Graduates will be equipped for careers across premium salons, luxury hospitality, wellness brands, aesthetic clinics, beauty retail, entrepreneurship, and the international beauty and wellness markets.
Empowering Existing Institutions
A key objective of the initiative is to enable existing academies, universities, and training institutes to become part of the ecosystem through accreditation and affiliation.
Participating institutions will benefit from:
- Internationally benchmarked curricula
- Quality assurance systems
- Access to global best practices
- Closer alignment with industry requirements
- Enhanced credibility through recognised certifications
The broader vision is to create new opportunities for learners, educators, entrepreneurs, and institutions while strengthening India’s Beauty & Wellness talent pipeline.
Speaking on the collaboration, Mr Sougata Roy Choudhury, Executive Director, CII, said, “India’s demographic dividend presents tremendous opportunities to build a globally competitive workforce. Our continued endeavour has been to identify sectors that offer both strong domestic demand and global career opportunities for India’s youth. Through this partnership with Skillbulls, we are extending CII’s commitment to industry-led skilling into the beauty and wellness sector where human expertise, creativity and trust will always be at the core. Through this, we also aim to accelerate female participation in the workforce and create entrepreneurship.”
Mr Kapil Kumar, Co-Founder & Chief Mentor, SkillBulls Global, said, “India has the talent, ambition and scale to emerge as a global leader in the beauty and wellness industry. Our partnership with CII is about creating an ecosystem that equips professionals with internationally benchmarked skills, strengthens industry competitiveness and prepares Indian talent for opportunities both at home and across the world.”
Ms Annu Wadhwa, Co-Founder & CEO, SkillBulls Global said, “For the first time in India, globally aligned programmes across multiple beauty and wellness verticals will be brought together under one integrated platform. At SkillBulls Global, we believe the future of skilling lies in building trusted ecosystems that connect education with industry, global standards and meaningful career opportunities.”
Why This Matters
As India’s Beauty & Wellness sector continues to expand across salons, aesthetics, hospitality, retail, and entrepreneurship, the demand for internationally trained professionals is increasing rapidly. By combining global education standards with practical industry training, the CII-Skillbulls partnership aims to make world-class skilling more accessible while creating stronger pathways for employment, entrepreneurship, and global mobility.
