Revolutionising Salon Growth

Esskay Resources elevated beauty education at the #ProBeautyIndia expo with an innovative masterclass at their stand, aiming to support the growth of the Indian salon industry. In a candid conversation with Priyanka Parshurami, Jyotsna Dang, National Education Manager at Esskay Beauty Resources, provided insights into their role as growth partners for salon

Education is the key to growth. Emphasizing this fundamental principle, Esskay Resources incorporated the concept of a live certificated masterclass for salons at their booth during the Professional Beauty India, Delhi show. The relationship between Esskay Resources and their salon partners goes beyond the traditional vendor-buyer affiliation. They strongly believe that their growth is directly proportional to the growth of their partners, hence their concept of being growth partners.

Here’s an excerpt from the interview with Jyotsna Dang, National Education Manager at Esskay Resources:

The inspiration behind the concept of Live Masterclass:

“The idea was to move away from the mundane setup of a meet-and-greet stall and try something that could offer more benefits to the attendees. In our two decades of existence, we have managed to acquaint ourselves with the best talent in the industry. These masterclasses were aimed at utilising this pool of talent to create something that is quick to grasp and can be learnt on the go. The response we received was outstanding, with people seen lining up and waiting for their turn”.

Addressing the gaps:

“There is a significant gap in the basic training of salon professionals, particularly in skin client consultation, proper skin analysis, and soft skills for boosting retail sales. With the trend shifting towards aesthetic beauty and the use of advanced equipment, and hair education still focused on basic techniques, our annual education calendar aims to address these gaps in detail”.

Future of Indian beauty & Salon Education:

“The global trend is moving towards sustainable practices, the use of the latest technology, and a more holistic approach to both hair and beauty. The industry in India needs to evolve with the times and adapt to these changes. We hope to play a role by becoming a medium to commence this transformation and offer a platform for possible collaborations between Indian and international experts”.
