High fashion met avant-garde beauty in a mesmerising fusion as Lakmē Salon and Satya Paul unveiled “Alchemy” at Lakmē Fashion Week x FDCI 2025.
Alchemy — a spellbinding spectacle of showstopping designs and cutting-edge style — took centre stage at this edition of Lakmé Fashion Week in partnership with FDCI. A celebration of bold self-expression, the showcase blended vibrant fashion with the power of hair artistry, creating looks that commanded attention.
The runway ignited with energy as Lakmē Salon and Satya Paul came together to redefine beauty and fashion. Striking hairstyles met statement couture, each look a bold extravaganza of creativity, self-expression, and fearless individuality.
The looks on the runway
As the lights dimmed and the music surged, the stage transformed into a mesmerising canvas of art and fashion. Satya Paul’s collection was a bold symphony of colour, print, and effortless elegance. Drawing inspiration from mid-century modernists Ellsworth Kelly and Matisse, each piece was a fearless celebration of individuality. Flowing kaftans, statement tunics, and sophisticated dresses swept across the runway.
Lakmē Salon turned the runway into a celebration of bold, confident beauty. Sleek precision cuts and multi-tonal hair colours shimmered under the lights, showcasing the modern woman — strong, ever-evolving, and uniquely herself. The collection brought shades like rich caramel mocha, radiant sun-kissed blonde, edgy rose gold, and fiery copper, each one reflecting a different personality.
As a model strutted down the runway, her sleek mocha brown ponytail radiated boardroom confidence. But as she let it down, hidden highlights caught the light, revealing a softer, more luminous side. These cuts and colours can seamlessly transition from day-to-night looks.
The makeup featured bold yet balanced elements, with statement lips in classic reds, deep berries, and soft matte nudes. The minimal base let the striking hair colours and sharp cuts take center stage.
Adding to the evening’s glamour, Bollywood icon Karisma Kapoor turned heads as the showstopper.
The artistry didn’t stop at fashion — Satya Paul’s Alchemy collection extended its magic to statement accessories. The designer took inspiration from colours around the world for the handbags in vibrant hues. They reflected the play of light from sunrise gold to twilight blues.
