“My salon has been my pride and joy for so many reasons.
- Natasha (my daughter) working with me!
- I wanted our salon to do ethical hairdressing.
- I wanted quality and not necessary quantity.
- I wanted quality products to be used on clients.
- I wanted it to be a salon where clients were attended by well-trained, friendly and polite staff.
- I wanted to offer services at prices befitting the kind of service and products used.
- I wanted every person who visits the salon, be it a working woman, a housewife or a film star, to be comfortable in my salon
Also, I remember people telling me to make it a salon for the rich and famous only, but better sense prevailed and we try to make every person feel special.
I wanted underprivileged girls and women to learn skills in hair and beauty and to make a life for themselves through our salon.
With ‘Guidance from Above’, thousands of women did get skilled at our salon and made a great life for themselves and their children.
God is great and my wishes did indeed come true!
I thank God every day for the fulfilled life I have led. Also, for teaching me love and kindness, for learning to help persons in distress. And, surely for helping me create skills and jobs for the underprivileged.”
